Oh for fuck sake. Yet another man sent off at home. Really, where the fuck do players learn to tackle. So frustrating.
No true passion today. Nobody (bar Mackie) really wanted it. Players hesitated too much, not closing players down, moaning and whining. It was a terrible showing.
Hope that nerves don't get the better of Liverpool tomorrow. The occasion, rather than Birmingham, is what killed Arsenal last year. The Carling Cup isn't all that but the positivity which flows from it could be crucial. Result is by no means certain- its a Cup Final- anything can happen. I hope Dalglish has that drummed into them.
Because I want Everton back in Europe next season, I kind of have to cheer for Liverpool. If Cardiff win it, that's just one more Europa slot filled up. I figure L'pool will finish tp 7 anyways. Probably 5th or 6th.
Looked like you guys should have had a corner after SWP's miss. There looked to be a clear deflection on TV.
Im glad I'll be asleep for tonights game. Have a bad feeling Arsenal will get crushed at home by Spuds
I've been there. Sometimes better to just sleep through it, get up, have a scalding hot shower, throw on a dressing gown, make tea and relax. These cocksuckers get paid plenty I'm not sure why anyone should lose sleep over it, at the end of the day. That said I would give 24 hours of sleep just for Liverpool to win today. All the cunts will be out in force. By cunts I mean you and JoeMul and Caligula and Feebles and and and ....... ::
Some cracking passes from Taraabt yesterday on the upside. Paul McStay esque! :bears: Why hasn't he found form this year, are there problems behind the scenes?
He's Ronaldo-Lite. Me Me Me. I think thats the issue. Warnock had a rule that the ball was not to be passed to Taraabt if Taraabt was in the QPR half, cos he'd set off on a run and lose it.
:: I'm in two minds about today tbh. I want you lot to win because it likely frees up a UEFA Cup place. However, I want you lot to lose because I hate your manager. MTF :scratcher:
He's a 'maverick' and I am afraid that such players aren't allowed to flourish in English football anymore. Too skillful you see. What is required instead is a ton of seven-foot, muscle-bound hatchet men who 'cover every blade of grass' and can't pass a ball more than ten yards. Athletes. Ben Arfa at NUFC is another one. Bloke doesn't track back and can't tackle so doesn't get to start. Ridiculous. On that basis, Ginola would have never kicked a football, ever, nor Asprilla, Robert etc etc. It's an English disease. Note to managers: you do not play some 'athlete' ahead of players who can do this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5KafuOcyn4&feature=related MTF
It's just that he needs a goal, BADLY. Once he scores, his confidence and hunger for goals will spur him on and that's when we'll see him step it up. I thought he had an ok game yesterday, but his finishing was poor and he lost the ball a few times by keeping it too much. I don't think there 's problems behind the scenes.
Our back four is simply not good enough. That new signing, Diakite, is fecking shite. Made his deboo yesterday and got sent off because he can't tackle and has no concept of timing. I hope that's the last time he plays for us. Total liability.
Yeah, that was a horrible debut. I didn't catch the first yellow but that second was a ridiculous tackle. Sent off in 32 minutes at home. athetic:
That's both Liverpool and Arsenal fucked then. :kidcool: I swear, I might as well be honest here, I would be happy if Liverpool never beat Man United again, in exchange for a win here today. Just win a piece of something. I would GLADLY give Everton the FA CUP in exchange for the Carling Cup. Too many good players playing for Liverpool who haven't won anything- Kuyt, Agger, Enrique etc. Looks like a fine day in London too.
Yup, unfortunately the likes of Taarabt are a dying breed in this league. Like with Ben Arfa it pisses me off when he gets left out because when he's "on", he is an absolute pleasure to watch. Nobody tries to take anyone on anymore, it's a breath of fresh air. QPR have always had these "mavericks", rough diamonds, and Taarabt is certainly in the same league as Stan Bowles. People rip me for being such a big fan of Adel but I will be sad when he goes, he's the most naturally gifted footballer I've seen at Loftus Road in my lifetime.
To be fair the "Taarabt-rule" paid dividends last season, if it works and gets results there's no issue with me. I know you were comparing attitudes rather than playing style, but I've heard people comparing Tarbs to a poor mans Ronaldo, I don't think their styles are really all that similar. Adel is more Zidane-esque.
Could have been even earlier than that mate, there were two challenges he got a stern talking to from the ref which could easily have been yellows. Fucking shocking.
And around and around and around and around...............I highlighted this during the Bolton game away- Liverpool dominate possession, more shots on target, more corners, can't score, and get sucker-punched. Its not good enough, and fuck all, it seems, either has been done- or can be done- to correct it. Shite. I hate watching it. Had a dream last night that Liverpool lost 3-2, then I had another dream that they won on penalties. :shit: I wish I was fast asleep right now.
