Maidana Vs Alexander?

Good second half of the 3rd for Alexander. Really started landing.

Either 2-1 or 3-0 Alexander. S

 

I'm liking Alexander's work when he decides to let his hands go, but the constant clinching is annoying.

 

4th pretty close but Alexander probably won it. Corner is correct though, Alexander is going to fade if he doesn't relax

 

Maidana is a clubfighter. It just shows how bad boxing is today that maidana has a title.

 

3-2 for Alexander. He has slowed Maidana down

 

I'd say Alexander is either up 4-1 or 5-0 at the half way mark. Should get interesting late.

Love how Roy claims it was clearly a knockdown and HBO tries to cut the replay right before it shows that Alexander pushed him down after the right hand. The push is what rightfully nullified the knockdown.

A schooling, nonetheless. Alexander had a rough patch early, but has otherwise dominated

I just hope this shows the world how bad Maidana is. There are plenty of deserving fighters that should get airtime over this gaucho fluffer.Maidana hasn't won a round.

Well so much for Khan's win over Maidana.

 

100-90 (2x) and 99-91. Both scores acceptable. Maidana thoroughly outclassed all night.

 

Keep in mind, the fight was at welterweight, where Maidana clearly doesn't belong

I hate Con, but to play Devil's advocate, Con beat Kotelnik alot more clearly than Alexander did.

Having said that, at 147 I'd pick Devon over the parki loser.

To Alexander: now beat a welterweight and over 12 rounds.

 

Both guys were coming up from 140.

Alexander would've had a kd had he not pulled a Hopkins and tried to get Maidana's back.

 

Alexander totally dominated Maidana who KO'ed Victor Ortiz who fought Floyd Mayweather.

 

First four rounds were close and I don't think that was a knockdown but Alexander dominated overall but lets see next time if he holds that much. GS

Much like the Mathysse or Kotelnik fights, I give Alexander respect for getting the decision. He's a limited guy but not as limited as Maidana. My mind is made up about Maidana- he's a tough limited banger at 140. At 147 he simply lacks the tools. He's a good march-in fighter. Alexanders loss to Bradley and Maidana's fight with Morales have settled my opinion of both- they have good money making opportunities still, especially Alexander, who has a rich patron in Kellerman.

Kellerman remains a disgrace, a posterboy for boxings ever-increasing feudalism. Try any old lie once, throw it out there , plant the seed.
