Corrales' win came first? Wrong. And Corrales/Castillo II was contracted at 135. In this context, to judge boxing's viability, it qualifies.

Regardless, when did the two best last face one another in other dividions?

Heavyweight was Lewis/Vitali, but arguably not depending on your view of Wlad

    147?
    140. Was it Tszyu/Judah?

Arguably not? Wlad had been KOd by Sanders a couple months prior.

Ah. Well that settles it then. I guess at that point few would've said Wlad was better.

Ali was the Champ the same year George Foreman won Ring Fighter Of The Year. :nono:

Who was the consensus #2 at that point? Norton? Quarry? Shavers?

    Definitely in Britain.

That said, dressing it up as being for the "Undisputed" title was cheap, considering that Cunningham was still out there at the time.

    Arguably, yes.

And Froch v Ward was no.1 and no.2 at 168 IMO. Bute is, at best, presently third in that division.

Manny Vs Marquez 1 and 2 would have to be the answers for 126 and 130.

    Frock Vs Ward for 168.

wald pussy Vs Mormeck for heavyweight.

In 2004 Pacquiao and Marquez were the best 2 featherweights in the world.

Easy. Anytime Floyd fights he fights the best.

Why the fuck would Froch be rated higher than Kessler when Froch fought Ward?

Yep, Kessler has more of a claim to being #2 than Froch and it's not proven that Bute is better or worse than either of them so it's still not really clear.

Neil's right. One was a lightweight and the other didn't even try. Castillo knew Corrales was drained, so he didn't bother trying to make weight and was fresher as a result.
