True, but a year ago this might have gone on several more rounds. Afolabi needs to tone down the swings he is prone to resorting too. You can see what he has learned from those camps- the jabbing from the waist, rolling in with that disguised body-shot underneath the arms, like Pavlik threw in the 11th of his 2nd fight with Taylor, tucking the jaw in behind the left shoulder so your left hand is free to counter from the waist with a shot the other guy can't see coming. This guy is going to carve Huck up if Huck has the balls to rematch him.

 

Not only is Wald pUSSY A PUSSY but he literally can't fight for shit. He tried only one rear uppercut. Mormeck was bending to his left everytime Wald Pussy jabbed. Seriously, the guy has no idea how to fight. He just is strong and fast. He has no instinct and he cannot even be trained to react. He is vaginal yeast.

I didn't see Ola's fight tonight so maybe he's come on since, but whilst he undoubtedly has skills the thing which annoyed me about him before was that he could get into the sparring partner mentality at times and let rounds slip by. Take the Enzo fight for example, it was a beautiful KO but I remember feeling he was clearly behind on points at the time of the stoppage. It's easy to say in hindsight that he was setting him up the whole time, but if Enzo had a chin resembling something stronger than papier mache he probably would have won. Unlike bummy Arthur Abraham who had to rely on coming back from behind, Afolabi is far too talented and skilled to have to do that. It annoys me greatly when fighters are comfortable sacrificing rounds like that.

 

Froch used to do that too- the Magee fight for instance where he basically waited for the right moment to take him out. That said Afolabi is now a more rounded fighter- the Macaroni fight was what, 3 years ago? He's come on grand in the interim, no pun intended.

 

I wonder who's fault it is, Manny or Wlad's ?... he cant throw an uppercut, he can't punch the body, and he can't shorten his punches, and this looked like somewhat of a fix anyway.
