The sport is great. The way it's run bothers me.

It's funny how certain people get upset when negative things are said about boxing. If I hated boxing, I wouldn't care enough to point out the things that piss me off. I fucking love boxing, way more than MMA infact, always have and always will.

No kidding. Its also these same guys that complain about the boxing comments in the MMA section that make negative remarks about boxing in the boxing forum. Double standard.

Great point. Boxing will always have a special place with me. I still get a tingle everytime a big fight is on. I do care about it and would love to see it become what it once was.

My roots are in boxing. I go to at least one local show a month. In my gym, I train alot of the new wrestlers on basic boxing. I love it. With that said, I'm with Anthony on I hate how its run. I love it at the local level. I think its still at somewhat of a pure form. Guys giving it all to make a name for themselves. Julio Ceasar Chavez Jr. is the poster child for what is wrong with boxing today. With all that said. I wish MMA had another large organization to compete against the UFC. I am a big fan of competition in the marketplace.
