Yup. Right after everyone found out his effectiveness was primarily derived from being a cheater, Shane Mosley kicked his ass, and everyone wrote him off as a legitimate threat. Manny isn't above fighting other people's leftovers, they don't always have to be Floyd's.

Only 2 guys on Floyd's resume weren't someone's leftovers. The whole "leftovers" thing is stupid anyway. If two guys fight in the same division, they will have some opponents in common. Floyd has never in his life given someone a career ending beating, he rarely beats guys up bad.

Pacquiao could probably win a nobel prize for all his public service, figuring out how to spend all those tax dollars to best aid his countrymen. Well if he actually was contributing his fair share to the pot

he also hadn't fought anyone worth a shit in years and had a string of carefully managed victories... even then, he still went life and death at times. There's nothing remotely amazing about Mayweather beating him like that. He would have been similarly handled by any elite fighter at any time in his career, had he actually fought any (besides Oscar, who also kicked holes in him)

I wouldn't have thought that judging by the way Mayweather dropped to his knees sobbing like he just eliminated world hunger. :Wah:

i agree for the most part about gattis run leading up to mayweather jr. but unlike when he fought delahoya he was coming off a string of victories vs top 15 opponents and if you objectively evaluate gatti's career the victory over dorrin may be his single most impressive/meaningful win.

How intelligent do you expect fighters who have been punched in the head for a lifetime to be?

To bad he didn't get elected as President. He could have just pardoned himself.

The difference is that most of the opponents Pacquiao fought who were actually good at some point (ie, not Clottey or David Diaz) had been written off as shot or done when he fought them.

Oh, and Hatton certainly received a beating at Floyd's hands.
