:: Really, I struggle to see Pacquiao not getting KO'd in a round or two. Hearns was a beast at 147 and 154, and a stylistic nightmare for a tiny attacking fighter like Pacquiao with a 67 inch reach. I don't think Pacquiao would be able to do much at all, given Hearns' range, jab, handspeed and power, it would be brutal.
Hearns is just too big and skillful. I just cant imagine Pac getting inside with those long jabs and crosses not finding the mark. Plus Pac isnt a prolific bodypuncher either. Maybe if he was, he could be effective but he isnt. Hearns KO 4
Considering that Pac has not been even badly hurt, much less down, not to mention stopped in a decade, I wouldn't be so sure of Hearns' quick KO. Of course Hearns wins, but just because he stopped some average guys in two rounds doesn't mean that he'll just easily blast Pac away
The facts that Pac has a 3 mile reach disadvantage, will be forced to come in aggressively and is relatively hittable probably does though
All I am saying is we don't really know the limit of Pac's punch resistance yet. He seems to take a very good punch and I would assume that if he tasted Tommy's power early on and used his quick feet to stay away after that, it might be a difficult task to waste him quickly. I think it is too simplistic to assume that Pac rushes right in as he does against the less-dangerous punchers and that Hearns can KO him with one shot even though he did that against many others
Pac (and Roach) would be too smart to try attacking straight on against a guy like Hearns. I'm sure Manny would try to stay far away and use his foot speed and angles to get off his shots. Tommy's reach and size advantage is just too great however.
