The referee Ramirez was counting when he saw Lopez in bad condition and stopped the fight. The surprising reaction for Lopez was in bad comments against Ramirez on the TV transmission. On Sunday Juanma Lopez gave a written public apology to referee Roberto Ramirez Sr. and thanked him for protecting him. Stated he wasn't thinking clearly and was very disappointed for for failing again to his fans, thus made inappropriate comments he nows can't remember saying..
Never fight in Puerto Rico if you are from Puerto Rico and your opponent is not from Puerto Rico. Everyone knows this.

Don't think Orlando Salido didn't know this already. That's why he paid the judges to score the fight in favor of Lopez, since he already knew the ref was in the bank for a 10th round stoppage. Throws off the scent of the corruption. Criss Cross! :Ramonza:
Mould of a ginger-bread man, filled with squid-ink dripping from an Andulese vagina. I thought it was a sure case of Essex influenza, but there you have it, 24 in a pie and counting.
Times change. Used to be you could throw around chairs and try to choke the ref and only get a 6 month suspension. I guess WBO ain't letting their refs take no shit. Period.
If the fight was held in Mexico and the loser was the mexican, the WBC would had suspended the ref, call for an immediate rematch while making the title vacant. Not to mention the riot that would had ensued right after the victory of the visiting defending champ.
