Marquez advises Cotto on Floyd

Marquez should just tell Cotto to watch his own fight with Floyd and simpy do the opposite of everything he did.

 

Marquez' advice was useless, but no advice (apart from whiskey's "hit him really hard and don't let him hit you") is going to help Cotto at all. PBF will win extremely easy, and I predict a stoppage in eight rounds or so

 

Maybe Mariconquez will tell Cotto to eat his own shit instead of drinking piss.

 

The more I think about it the more I think a Floyd stoppage is fairly likely, particularly if Cotto gasses as he's known to.

Floyd didn't take the risks necessary to try and stop Marquez, but I guess when Cotto does gas or is weakened in a fight, he doesn't offer much resistance, and it's pretty easy to walk him down as Pacquiao showed.

 

He already earned no respect by picking a past his prime Cotto.

 

You would have prefered Floyd to fight him after getting bashed by Margarito? Arum did everything possible to avoid that, everyone knows that.

Cotto is several years younger than Floyd, has been fighting on the heavier divisions more than Floyd, is defending his title at 154 (His division) where Floyd has only fought once and looked shitty. Floyd is the one that will go to jail a few days later after the fight and yet he's the one taking advtange here.

Some people are just too damn hard.

 

It's odd how people are missing the style component of this fight. Cotto is very good at cutting off the ring and forcing exchanges against slick boxer/mover type guys. Having said that, Floyd is also adept at standing in the pocket and making guys miss, and Cotto will probably get knocked out if he gets too aggressive.

Seems reasonable and would be in keeping with a great many of Floyds wins of the past, solid, clear, but tempered and reserved decision wins.

 

Another reminder of how good fighters don't always make good trainers.

 

He probably will. That's how he's been fighting lately. And Cotto likes to move around.

 

It would be great if Cotto knocks Floyd the fuck out with a left hook. The boxing world would be in total shock and Floyd would finally lose his precious 0 on his record.

 

I'd honestly be shocked if Cotto won four rounds.

 

Floyd is no longer a mobile slickster. He's a fairly stationary, in the pocket counter puncher, a bit like Toney actually, but even harder to hit.

And Cotto won't get too aggressive, it's not in his nature. He has heart, but he's quick to get on his bike and avoid taking a beating.

Ironically his only losses are stoppages though, his survival skills need work ::

 

Margarito and Pac are far more aggressive than Mayweather. I would be seriously shocked if Floyd stopped Cotto.

 

Cotto has Trinidad heart. Once he gets hurt he goes through the motions. Cotto gets stung and he runs.He doesn't have the power to kayo Floyd with one shot nor the chin to take the feather fisted incoming from Floyd.This card is only amusing if that cocksucker Canelo knocks Shame dead or vice versa. I will cheer every landed punch in that fight.

 

I thought the same way at first, that a Floyd stoppage was highly, highly unlikely due to him not taking the necessary risks, but unlike even Marquez, when Cotto starts to fade he's very vulnerable.

 

Come on, you can't root for the Ginger. He's an annoying hype job. Shane is done, but I hope he blitzes ginge with one punch.

 

I am rooting for a double kayo. Alvarez is an annoying cunt, but Nosely is the annoying cunt.

 

I just can't see it. Floyd doesn't have the work rate of Manny or Margarito to wear him out like that.

 

A stoppage really depends entirely on Cotto. If he never stops trying to win he'll get stopped. If he's content to last he'll go the distance.

I call it the Ricky Hatton rule. Hatton could have easily gone the distance with Floyd, but fair play to him, he never stopped trying.

 

I just hope Cotto doesn't try to hug him.
