Closer to staggeringly arrogant, Irish doesn't do long wind-ups. The truth is somewhere in between, Shaun Wright Phillips wouldn't suddenly become a great player up north, and the likes of Shelvey are still an unknown quality, and not one I would fancy would thrive in the more rough and tumble Scottish game...

    :dunno:

A perfectly innocent post about how Celtic should develop a relationship with clubs and get the use of their kids to extend their competitiveness across the season is taken as an attack on Celtic?? :scratcher:

Think I'll give this place a miss for a week.

Not my fault the CPS told Tom Adeyemi to go and fuck himself.

He averaged 1 goal in 5 at Celtic. When you play upfront for Celtic with the amount of chances you get here that's a stone cold flop. Another hun faced prick Strachan signed to spite the support 'he can't pretend to understand'. He averaged 1 in 3 at Wolves, some of which happened in the prem, some in the champ. He had an inexplicable spell at Rangers last time, but they're the Man Utd of Scotland x10 in terms of self fulfilling prophecies trumping quality, especially when it comes to wee pricks like Miller living out their boyhood dreams. He's not the player Gary Hooper is.

I suggested they develop a relationship with ANY and ALL PL sides to get the use of talented but unproven kids, on the cheap. I merely gave Liverpool as an example. If Celtic are too good for the Darron Gibson of two years ago, the JohnJo Shelvey of right now or the Danny "Golden Shred" Welbeck of a year ago, its the first I heard of it.

Sure, no problem, I had a dream last night that Everton came back from 1-0 down to win 3-1. My dreams are usually on the money, so I;ll bet on Everton winning, if thats Ok by you. Also, a goalkeeper- probably Tim Howard, will commit a foul that should result in him getting sent off, and a Liverpool player will hit the bar.

And McManaman (or whatever the fuck his name is) will remind the US audience every time Andy Carroll touches the ball just how much Liverpool paid for him.

Maca is NOT a fan of Andy Carroll. :nono:

The Liverpool Old-Guard love to behave as if they won everything there was to win. McManaman is aware he is regarded with mixed-opinion, after he fucked off to Spain on a free and cost the club millions. Stan Collymore is the same. Another moaner.

The broadcast team for ESPN2 USA are Ian Darke and MacMan. I noticed for an ex Liverpool player, he seems pretty anti-Liverpool sometimes. While whenever he does an Everton game, he always goes on and on about how this was the team he grew up loving as a boy, and he was Evertonian way back when, etc.

McManaman, Collymore, McMahon, Graeme Souness, Ronnie Whelan, none of them every have a good word to say. Especially when it came to Benitez, who was despised in a fashion which I can only describe as contrary to every bit of equality legislation ever drafted. They won't say anything about Dalglish, despite the fact that he's nowhere near Rafa's level, at least not yet, despite having a far safer working environment- because to do so, even with good reason, would lead to them being pilloried and mocked, as Dalglish is a "Pillar" of the English game.

    :shit: :wack:

I am going out for a 2 hour hill walk right now, then I get in, have a wash, and follow the game on the BBC ticker- I would settle for a draw, I feel Liverpool can win it, and would be wary of some viciousness breaking out at the game.

Somebody is getting sent off, thats for sure, maybe Pepe Reina.

EDIT: Regardng Darke, he used to be the main man at SKY for the boxing, he must be getting better money at ESPN.

Gobshites the lot of them, although Redknapp Jr, perhaps wary of the vagaries of management via his fathers position, seems fairer and more even handed than most. Fowler is solid. John Scales is OK. Ditto McAteer. The rest were cunts- David James, Drunkard Ruddock, McManaman, Collymore, Babb. Wasters. Gobshites. I despise no era like I do that one.

Fuck off Gerrard. Big superstar fucking hero, you huyton cunt. Now Everton will win this 1-3 and Reina might as well not bother coming out for the 2nd half.

I slept through my alarm and missed the derby. And judging by the scoreline, that was probably a good thing. Damn!

Celtic beat Kili in the league cup final on our way to our last treble. Exactly 11 years ago, Sunday. We beat Rangers by 22 points (21, now) and beat Hibs (who are in the other semi final this year) in the Scottish Cup final. All with Lennon marshaling things on the park. History is rhyming baby. :truce:

Well thats all I was saying, snap up some of these kids, get their parent clubs to pay the wages, and maybe have a term in the contract that you get first refusal if they don't make it at the parent club. Could be a neat low-key option.

The technical gulf, at that age, between the English Next-Gen players and the foreign players, is astounding. Simply incredible. The Liverpool kids were fraped by Sporting Lison, home and away, despite being easily one of the better youth sides in England.

I dunno, seems like the English clubs and Celtic held their own fine. Villa beat Ajax who beat Barca who beat Celtic who beat Marsiele who beat Villa..... Spurs absolutely pasted Inter who beat Sporting who beat Liverpool. Etc. Lots of kinda circular give and take like that....not many away wins.

If anything Spurs seemed to be the star turns.
