You can beat Barcelona next year and ill still be right... this is not an attack on Celtic - it's just a lower standard thats a fact. If Celtic were in the EPL they would be in the lower half, those teams constantly take second string players form the top clubs..

We weren't talking about guys on the subs bench though, it's the youth team. Those players wouldn't get near the Villa team & they wouldn't get near ours. Judging by the Next-Gen results some of them wouldn't get in our under 19 team. Think Leyton Orient or St Johnstone for game time, not Celtic.

But if you wanna give us Maxi Rodgriguez or Jojo Shelvey for a season, please do

Also, to beat a dead horse if we were 'in the EPL' we'd have 100m extra to spend on players, so we wouldn't be lower half. But I'd agree this current team would be lower mid table.:TLC:

Chelsea came back like I said they could, but Napoli are a nowhere side in the broader scheme of things.

After last night's false dawn, tonight should bring some perspective back to English football. Man Utd, the present league leaders lest we forget, will do well not to get a hiding against one of Spain's also rans. The bookie at the end of my street gave me 2-1 against a Bilbao win this afternoon...

Thats the spin on the airwaves. Bottom line is, City to a lesser extend, but Man United in particular- got their arses kicked.

United took an unholy ass-f**king over two legs, pardon my term, but Bilbao kicked the living shit out of them. United looked like Stoke.

Fergie was throwing on Pogba and the like at the end to make it look like they weren't even trying. Yeah nice try. United showed up and were shown up in return.

Liverpool should do what they should have done years ago- snap up Javi Martinez.

Yup. Not fooling anyone. Fergie played his strongest team in both legs and they were lucky to just lose 5-3 on the evidence of what transpired. The gulf in class was MASSIVE, absolutely massive. They were absolutely battered in both games.
