  1. I can do 7:25...but that was 18 months ago so I'll give it a go.
    What's your height/weight, rooster?

5'7", probably just under 11 stone.

some people say i'm short, but i don't think so; i just tend to see most other people as comically oversized. :dunno:

  3. I got no chance...im 6'3" and 210lb.

Your build and weight is dead-on for 5-6 min mile.

Well, I did about 6.5-7km in about 46 minutes, so that's not too great, but I'm willing to bet I could do a mile a lot faster than that if it were only 1 mile. I might measure it out sometime, but right now I'm more interested in overall activity level.

  5. My standard for 6.5km is around 33-35mins, but Im better at short runs: 3.2km in 17 mins is a good test.

sure, but running a mile flat-out will get your heart rate up and benefit your fitness in a way that longer runs won't. i do two or three flat-out, with five minute breaks between.

I love to run fast but usually use my elliptical or the jump rope I don't run outside very often

Sorry to hear it, Rooster. I may start going to a track once a week to time my mile. I've got a pretty brutal cold right now though. I woke up shaking and sweating.

Well, I did 7km this morning with my brother and sister. It felt good but I got blisters the size of my thumb on both feet. Time for new shoes.

Exercise first factor inside the morning may be difficult, mainly in case you want to set the alarm great early to address it before work. However, as soon as you realize the numerous advantages of running in the morning, it would make it only a little simpler to stop hitting snooze, get out of bed, and lace up
