I don't think there's a question of whether he could. Leonard was certainly capable but take for example Trinidad. Ray could outbox the guy with ease. There wouldn't be a need for him to take a risk trying to finish off a dangerous guy like Tito. I think it's just as likely he wins at worst 10-2 coasting along as it is going on the attack looking to get Trinidad out of there.
Leonard went on the attack against the most devestating fighter in the history of the welterweight division. What makes you think if he would hold back on Tito? Especially if he hurt him, which he would at some point. The speed difference between Leonard and Tito would be comical. Oscar made Tito look slow, and buzzed him a few times. Leonard would take him apart, and stop him.
