Or the testing was wrong. "I want to retake the test!" (at a time of my choosing)

What a farce. One side of their mouth they say drugs are illegal, other side they let someone who looks like Overeem compete. Complete joke.

He had never failed a test before, what can you do? Sure we all knew, but you can't legally tell a guy he can't compete because he "Looks like he's on something"

Horseshit. Guy ducked tests before his last fight. A bloody farce this is, a farce I tell you.

Certainly. But at the same time those who are strongly suspected can be tested more randomly.

Agreed on the ducking of his last test. It wasn't very random after he waiting for a week. I said as much when it happened. He did pass the post fight test, but really you have to be an idiot to fail a planned test these days.

Which is exactly what happened. He was ordered to have 2 random tests within 6 months of the Brock fight. He failed the first one.

It's just a joke that any legit sporting org would sell Overeem as a headliner under the pretense that it's a fair fight. A crock of shit, it is.

They all take the same tests that boxers do so as long as they pass, it's fair play.

Which means the brock fight should be ruled a NC.

Except there is no proof that he was on anything for that fight. I'm not sure that can happen. I would laugh if it did though.

It would be even funnier if Brock is "outraged" with the news of Reem's roid use.

Yeah but Brock has been doing roids for long enough he may know how to beat the test. It's all speculation anyway.

I just would find it funny to see one roided out monster crying foul about another.

They should infact rule the Lesnar fight a NC. Not that it matters much anyway but fuck Overeem he deserves it.

LOL.. I forgot JOM was a Overeem nuthugger as well.

I can't remember if it was him or TLC insisting Reem wasn't juicing.

No shit. He's ducked test by avoiding fighting in places that test. He's spent the majority of his MMA career fighting in Japan and The Netherlands.

Isn't it funny that the first time Overeem was scheduled to fight in Nevada since pumping up to HW, he misses his initial drug test (Lesnar fight). And then the second time he's scheduled to fight in Nevada, he fails a random test.

I don't what percentage of fighters juice, but it doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to suspect foul play when a top fighter like Barnett or Overeem stay in Japan when the big money in the US.

Now Reem can go back to juicing like crazy and fighting bums.

always said that reem was an obvious juicer, but that's also the case of the huge majority of top level athelete, and especially ufc fighters

Whats even more pathetic is these guys are getting slaps on the wrists for breaking the rules. Punishments need to be more severe so these guys actually have a consequence to fear.

Well, someone like Nate Marquardt didn't get a slap on the wrist but then someone like Chael Sonnen did.

That's my beef. Be consistent and ban these cheaters for life.

Yeah he did. You know he was busted previously as well right?

Most of them get a slap on the wrist. Barnett will be back in the UFC soon, Thiago Silva, Sherk, Sonnen, Leben....etc.

I really am not in the mood to revive our debate over fighter pay. If this is just your hunch or speculation, fine. However, could you explain why you believe this? If you have some sources you can cite, great. If not, okay.

MMA is sanctioned by the same athletic commissions as boxing, the penalty for steroid use is the same in both sports. The UFC doesn't punish them, it's the commissions that do the punishing.

Sure, but sanctioning bodies probably have the power and right to do their own punishments. I think they can do whatever they want...from ignoring to making lifetime bans.

Debate? It was a one-sided beatdown. And I don't blame you for not wanting to go there again. You took a verbal ass whipping.

But to answer your question, it's pure speculation on my part. I have absolutely no evidence that the UFC pays better than 'Ultimate Glory Fights', the 'WCFC', 'K-1', or any other place that Overeem has fought. By the way, anyone know if "2 Hot 2 Handle" promotion is still around.

It's just silly speculation on my part.

Doesnt matter, the UFC has the power to carry out their own punishment and they should if the punishment by the sanctioning bodies is insufficient.

Repeat offenders are usually fired. Marquartd, and Barnett for example.
