How would this go down?

 

Mosley wins some rounds because of hand speed and sheer determination but for the most part he gets outboxed soundly by El Radar.

If we pretend they are the same size, this would actually mean matching the WW Benitez against the LW version of Mosley, which evens the fight up a great deal. At lightweight Mosley was not only as fast as Benitez but also a murderous puncher.

I know Benitez is the correct pick but this isn't a one-sided fight at all

He was just fighting smaller guys, though. I think he was an 'early adopter' of day before weigh in cheating. Guys the size of James Leija & John Brown would be lightweights in previous eras and below starting out today. Benitez was DLH sized.

He got overly eager and wild when he was made to lead, IMO....Benitez would clown

 

Plus Benitez is undeniably more 70s/80s than Shane. It's all in the bar graph

 

THAT CAN'T BE ARGUED. Any way you slice it, Shane's lightweight "reign" was Duranesque in its shitiness.
