Chael Sonnen should not even be in the UFC let alone fighting for the belt again.

This next comment assumes Anderson Silva does not take any PEDs.

It's an absolute shame that an extremely physically gifted athlete like Silva is forced to defend his title against a known cheater. And the idea that Silva's legacy COULD have been tainted by a loss to Sonnen really irks me.

The UFC does alot of things right but their inconsistency on PEDs is all wrong.

 

I want MMA to succeed, I want it to be viewed as a real sport. If Overeem somehow managed to still get this fight, it's setting it way back. The whole TRT thing is just ridiculous. If you can't compete naturally, you shouldn't compete period. Sorry that all people are not created equally, it's just the way it is.

 

So Overeem has hired a high profile lawyer, and Dana claims Cain vs Mir is still on.

Shame on the UFC if they let this shit slide.

 

I am growing more and more disinterested in the UFC because of incidents like this.

 

I bet someone spiked Overeem's horse meat with steroids to frame him. I bet it was the same guy who killed O.J's wife and that bus boy jew.

 

im pretty sure sonnens levels werent higher than overeems, in fact i think they were only slightly above limit

edit: just took a quick look, his was higher from what i saw but i swear at some point he said it was barely over

11 minutes in, he says he was at .7 and normal is .6, then of course makes a joke, not sure what that translates to as a ratio but seems barely over to me

Who cares what BS comes out of Sonnen's mouth. You can find the actual test results from the AC. 16.9:1 That is a far cry from "barely over"

 

And therein lies the slippery slope with TRT.. If a fighter's "therapy" causes their testosterone levels to be elevated beyond that of a normal range, they are getting an unfair advantage over someone not juicing.

So even if Sonnen naturally has low testosterone and honestly requires therapy, he is boosting his levels beyond normal which is just plain fucking cheating no matter how you dress it up.

Doesn't past steroid use typically hurt the natural production of testosterone? I saw a doc on Jose Canseco, and he can't stop using steroids even now because his body doesn't produce testosterone anymore.

Overeem vs. JDS goes on as planned. They will fight. Got this from a reliable source in Holland, the same source that said Overeem would go to the UFC. Wich was also proven right.

I'm starting to think people have way jumped the gun regarding Overeem. For all we know, he could have been on a treatment to heal an injury. Let's hear what he has to say first.

Don't get me wrong, it's obvious Overeem is a juicer, but not more so than Lesnar, Carwin,GSP, Lister or Sapp were ( my guess is that they are pretty much are all on the sauce, same goes for every sport ). My comment wasn't regarding wether Overeem did steroids or not but on everyone assuming the fight was off

 

Yeah, but you said that like 3 years and 6 fights before Overeem actually came over to the UFC. Not exactly Nostradamus type stuff.

 

:laughing::laughing: Oh boy... The guy leaves the country to dodge a drug test prior to the Lesnar fight and then fails a test with levels 3 times higher than normal.

If the NSAC gives him a license to fight JDS, they automatically become the biggest joke of an athletic commission anywhere in the world. They already look like idiots for giving him a conditional license to fight Lesnar.

Just curious, did Carwin, Lesnar or GSP ever actually fail a drug test?

 

Yeah, his injury is that he's not naturally a 260 pounder. Glad they finally found a cure for that.
