This is THE 1st Bones Jones Fight that REED has Been Genuinely CONCERNED about...

The FACT is, Rashad Evans has SEEN Whatever Warts & Holes Jones has in his Game...Rashad's Also a VERY Quick Handed & Hard Hitting Striker & Thus Far, Machida had the Highest Level of "Success" vs. Bones, via Strikes...

Rashad's Also a Smart, Well Rounded, if Unspectacular Fighter...But the Antidote to the Dynamic, Awe Inspiring Type is Typically the Workmanlike Dude...THAT's Rashad Evans...& Despite the Level of Contempt that Rashad Shows Towards Bones, it WON'T Alter the Way he Plans on Fighting...

@ this Point, U Simply CANNOT Bet Against Bones Jones, but REED is Anticipating THE TOUGHEST Fight of his Young Career, Thus Faaaar...

Wouldn't Surprise REED @ All if Rashad Made a BOXING Match Out of it & Outlanded/ Outpointed Bones Over 5 Somewhat Dull Rounds...

I want Jones to win, but I don't know if he can outstrike Rashad or outwrestle him. It's tough to call, but I think Jones will find a way to win. My head says Rashad will outstrike and/or outwrestle him, but (and perhaps it is wishful thinking) I think Jones will get the win in a fight that might be much more boring than your average Jon Jones fight.

Pretty much as Buddy said, I hope Jones wins but Evans has a good chance. In stand up fight Jones is the better but in ground Evans might outhump him. Evans by dec

Seems anybody loses to anybody on any given day in the cage. Jon Jones is only one jab to the chin away from losing everything he's worked hard to build, career-wise and rep wise.

Apparently not---from the stories of them training together. I don't see Jones outstriking Rashad standing. Rashad has really good boxing. Jones is eclectic, but I don't know if he'll be able to stand and trade with Rashad.

Jones has no chin IMO. You know you don't have a chin when Rampage throws a combination at you and your natural response is to RUN THE F*CK AWAY LITERALLY TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CAGE! :l1:
That was a total cowardly response from Jones even if it was a smart one considering he has little faith in his hands. Good kicks however. But he knows he's not a top level 'boxer' by MMA standards.

Bit of a huge turnaround from when this fight was first talked about, almost everyone on this forum saw it as a mismatch. Why the change of heart?

I used to hate Rashad, but he is a good, solid fighter. Surely not good enough to beat Jones though or even come close to it.

Jones beat the shit out of Rampage, and he's never been dropped or rocked in a fight.

Jones wins convincingly. Rashad struggled with old, slow Rampage, almost got stopped by Thiago Silva, had trouble with Bisping, and was assraped by Machida, who Jones almost killed.

Jones simply too big for Rashad and Rashads wrestling will get him nowhere.

    Jones TKO 3 via GNP

I don't recall it like that, but I guess I have mixed feelings on the topic. Jones avoided the incoming, and he covers a lot of ground. Running away is what Tito did against Vanderlei at UFC 25. Jones avoided taking punishment from headshots because he had respect for Jackson's power.

I guess the question arises: do you give your opponent the chance to land something big, or do you nullify his strengths since you do get paid to do this for a living and your earnings depend on getting your hand raised as the victor?

You'd be a fucking idiot to stand and trade with Rampage. All he has at this point in his career is power, why even give him the chance to land ? Jones just fights smart.

He was mega cautious for a couple rounds though. And Rampage is a shell nowadays.

Seems you didn't read what I said. I said 'WHEN JACKSON THREW A COMBO AT JONES, JONES' NATURAL RESPONSE WAS TO RUN THE F*CK AWAY TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CAGE!"
I didn't say anything else other than make an observation in one particular part of the fight.
I know Jones beat Rampage. Everybody knows.

I'm talking about Jon's natural instinct. When somebody with some good hands threw a punch at him, Jon RAN AWAY! Not covered up, not slipped and countered....HE RAN AWAY!
That's ALL I'M SAYING! Just an observation. Nothing more.

I don't deny Jones being smart. All I said was that Jon's natural instinct was to run when Rampage threw a combination of punches at him. It may say something about Jon's character when it comes to his boxing or perhaps it was part of his strategy. Either way, he won the fight and that's what counts.

Ok Hanzy, what ever you say. Jones has damn near cleaned out the division. So what ever he's doing is working just fine.

I like Jon Jones but it's kinda dumb that he goes out and buys a $200k Bentley after beating Jackson. He basically spent his entire purse from that fight on a car and who knows if his stock will plummet in the next few fights should he get KTFO which means paydays gonna dwindle.
Not surprising why most dipsh*t black athletes end up broke. Especially gay ass NFL players. 78% of them end up broke 2 years into retirement cause they're f*cking idiots. Seems Jon Jones is no different with his spending habits. Dude acting like he's a millionaire when he's got 2 daughters already and isn't even married yet. His woman could f*ck him off and take most of his money if she wanted to for child support.

Yes, whatever I say. I'm just making a remark about a simple observation regarding the Jackson vs Jon Jones fight. Why the f*ck do you need to always feel like I'm sh*tting on the UFC or your favourite fighters? I didn't deny that Jones isn't a great fighter. I just made a remark about something I saw in the Jones/Rampage fight. That's all.:dunno:
