I just watched Sugar Ray Leonard vs Hector Camacho again and thought of this. Even though it wasn't that big of a surprise that Leonard had nothing left, to get smacked around by a smaller veteran was pretty embarrassing.

So, list down examples of the most humiliating losses. It could be for various reasons: the loser's personality, the opponent has been trash, the favorite has been fighting in front of his own people or his performance has just been crap.

    First ones I thought of:

    Hamed - Barrera
    Wlad - Sanders
    Duran - Leonard II
    Tyson - McBride
    Audley - Haye

I'd like a rule banning mention of Duran-Leonard II without concurrent reference to 'clown rings', 'farce' & 'disgrace', please.

Same. Losing badly is different than being humiliated.

Wlad vs Sanders was the worst and most humiliating beatdown in boxing history. No excuses whatsoever for that loss. He was whacked around like a pinata, dropped on his ass almost every time Sanders made any contact. Really bad!

What was humiliating about that fight was the way Haye kept doing this dance :Ramonza: instead of actually fighting

    lemmon versus rahman.

rahman was a total bum, one of the worst of any era and lemmon was smiling at him just as he got sparked clean out from the right.

was of the glory moments in boxing no doubt. in africa too.

Camacho-lEOTARD is my favorite fight ever. Seeing gay ray get pummeled by Macho brings a smile to my face.

GOT TO be an alltime one there. Vargas stalked, insulted, slandered and bullied DLH for near a decade. VARGAS WAS bigger stronger and younger and supposedly the "real man." That had to be the greatest moment of Oscar's life, although Russian whores with d-ildos is up there too.

Yep. As a side note, I've never seen pre fight message board hype like that since or before.

Never will be. Growing up here in Mexico del Norte aka Southern California this fight was what Leonard/Hears was to the generation before. You had to pick a side.

For my money, I was rooting for DLH and I was never that big of a fan. At the time, he seemed the more upwardly mobile guy. A guy who wanted to do something with his life.

VARGAS WAS representative of the shitty Mexicans. He wanted street cred and said ridiculous things like he "would be honored to die in the ring". Then, without Irony, would state that his life was fucked up because his daddy left him.

It was the guy who grew up rough and tried to make a life versus the worthless thug.

I knew several real life "Vargases" I remember one guy who picked a fight with a 6 foot 5 guy from Panama because he said the guy looked at him "like he could kick his ass". The dude was 5'1 and got rolled all to "prove he was a man."
