I love Loftus Road. There's all this talk of a new stadium but I really don't want it. It'll just be shit. Look at Highbury, proper intimidating ground, fans on top of the pitch. Then the Emirates, looks like a big gay spaceship landed in North London.
Oh and TKO I'll get back to your post, I had it all typed up on my iPhone and then it refreshed the fucking page for some reason
Its possible because Chelsea traditionally have given "this" Barcelona side the hardest of games, apart from Liverpool, who are the only side of the three English sides to win at the Very Camp. United managed the sum total of 1 win in 4 attempts, to a draw and two defeats. Chelsea, since 2005, have a win, two losses, three draws. Their last meeting was of course the 0-0/1-1 affair, where Drogba cut a record on the side of the field and the usual morons babbled on about a UEFA Conspiracy whilst accusing everyone else of having lost their mind or gone otherwise mad. Quite. <object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/GE-LH-rnCEM?version=3&feature=player_detailpage"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/GE-LH-rnCEM?version=3&feature=player_detailpage" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="360"></object> Of course, Essien won't be there, and Kalou really isn't up to putting in a mad shift. Plus- Barcelona might just be better than when they last met, that was before Barcelona shit all over United in Rome, and they've gotten better since then. Its possible that Chelsea could win at Stamford Fridge, but get beat 4 nil away from home.
Warn the baldy fella who works for Barcelona. I left out Mascherano- he was at Liverpool when the sides last met- now he's at Barcelona, so that harry-harry shite might not work for Chelsea either.
Barca's champions league run is bound to end at some point. Personally I think Real will edge out Bayern in the 2nd leg, Barca will get past Chelski and Real will best Barca in an all Spanish finale.
Chelsea are well organised and comfortable without the ball, which is a good trait to have against Barca's tiki taka paint drying possession football. Barcelona have definitely improved, I just hope they've improved to the point they leave John Terry crying and left with permanent mental scars, sitting in his penalty box in front of a stunned silent Shed. The silent part's normal.
I have to say your employers have been more than doing their bit to re-invigorate John Terry's image in the meantime. Everytime Chelsea play, there is a photo of Terry in some sort of exulting stance, every inch the big man. :shite: How odd that people worry about Luis Suarez going to Wembley but fret not over John Terry holding the European Cup aloft. Chelsea are the original small club.
Dont take it personally lads, I guess the point is QPR are no better or worse than the rest of the joke that is the EPL.. The 'rise' of QPR took me back, back to the glory days of when football was good...but now I know that QPR are no different to the rest. Blackburn - after all that shit Steve Kean deserves a break.. Matrinez - Whelan - their relationship is refreshing and loyal that deserves EPL in my book Wolves - well they deserve to go down, they sacked the MC and brought in O'Connor WTF, see ya later.
Chelsea must have the worst fans in football. Rangers edge them for scuminess but at least der hun can make some noise.
"Der Hun" :: Thats the great thing about patent Fascism. You know the flags and banners are for fucking real.
Its a cramped place alright. Its unlikely they did a Stoke on it- that would suit Barcelona. Barca could play on a postage stamp and still find space. I really hope they win tonight. If Chelsea finish 5th and win the ECL then Newcastle could be out of a place if they finish 4th.
http://soccerlens.com/premier-league-pitch-sizes/3683/ Yeah Chelsea's is pretty small. Celtic's is slightly smaller than the two Manchester clubs. Rangers have the smallest in either top flight division because they narrowed it deliberately a few years back in order to play 'more direct'. How do I hate thee? Let me count the ways.
It seems that way to be, Barcelona will be disgusted- to concede a 45th minute goal to a guy who is a shadow of his former self. Still fancy them in the 2nd leg but as suspected Chelsea gave them as good as they got from them, and bettered it.
Pretty interesting that there is not a regulation size for everyone (I knew this before seeing this.) Do they play World cup matches on larger pitches? I remember in 2006 I was watching all these WC matches. Then I watched a replay of an old Prem match. The field looked tiny and the players looked big. I know they do that in ice hockey. For the winter olympics, they play on a bigger ice rink than a regular NHL game.
