We knew this was going to happen. I mean he is openly rooting for MMA to fail and he posts here saying it. If that is not trolling, what is? But i cant do anything about it.

Henderson is the ONLY next. He deserves it. There really is no one else.

Poor Dan. Even the TRT can save him now.

He's rooting for UFC to fail. Not MMA. There is no MMA outside of the UFC. Everything else outside of the UFC has failed unfortunately. I really liked StrikeForce but oh well. If not enough fans will watch the show or attend, I guess it's inevitable.:dunno:

Dan is in over his head. He's got a great attitude but we know where this is going. Dan will have good crowd support though. Some wild swings won't get it done.

that main event was a fucking bore. I might be alone in that but I think that Jones didn't look really good tonight, he was very slow and more sloppy than usual. rashad made it easy for him, staying at long range when you're reach is half shorter. Hendo might make it exciting if he tries to bomb it out, but Jones should be waay too good.

undercard was pretty exciting, but full of second tier fighter.

Nah, I'm rooting for all cage fighting to fail. But UFC is the only relevant org. It's in direct competition with my favourite sport, a sport that was struggling anyway. Fuck that shit.

Can't even watch boxing in bars in Canada anymore. Only cage fighting. Of course I hate cage fighting and its hype machine and its crappy product.

    Wrong again....

Bellator had their best ratings of the season last night.

And do you even realize that Strikeforce was bought by Zuffa BECAUSE they were doing well?

    He just can't leave.

MMA is so addictive that SD thinks he hates it, and still can't stop talking about it.

    What a joke.

I used to think UFC and Boxing were competing but now I don't. They both can co-exist just fine. The only thing Boxing lacks is superstars. They don't have many left. We used to post for ages about the Trinidad, Lewis, Holyfield, Tyson, Roy Jones, DLH, Vargas fights, etc but they're all gone now and we got f*ck all left other than whacked ass Mayweather and a guy who can't decide if he wants to be a boxer or a politician in Pacquiao. LOL!
The UFC is in the same boat. Sports can't thrive without stars.

Maybe if you make a few more post, and crank up the sarcasm, you can convince yourself that MMA is suffering.

TUF had their worst ratings this season also.
Strikeforce wasn't doing that well, Trplsec. Apparently Coker sure didn't feel it was doing well. He banked his 20 mill and f*cked off. Another way for the UFC to eradicate any competing promotions. Kinda like Vince McMahon buying up all the territories to build his gigantic World Wrestling Federation in the 80s.

I don't think it's suffering. I know it isn't. That's why I enjoy every small victory. Like a big card coming up getting ruined by steroids, and the fight tonight ending in boos and getting slammed on the Internet.

    Baby steps.

TUF is a television show and not a promotion.

And just prior to being purchased by Zuffa, Strikeforce had their most watched event in promotion history (Diaz-Daley).

So yeah, they were struggling. :atu:

The fact that you keep posting just underscores the success of this event.

Even haters were paying close attention. MMA fans thank you for talking about the sport. Every little bit helps.

I enjoy making SD post about MMA.

It would be like someone getting me to post about golf, a sport I hate.

Oh and he had several post before I showed up. I can't take all the credit. Some of it belongs to the UFC.

Gee, the ufc shills doing massive shillfuck damage control against common sense. What else is new?

Jones gets a pass from big fans because he hasn't done this before, but ask Anderson Silva if you can get away with winning this way without repercussions from the fans and the ufc.

The fight was watchable because you don't want to be the guy checking out the waitress when Jones gets ktfo by a big overhand right or Evans goes down from a spinning elbow. But after 25 minutes of not much happening, you are left with a boring fight. The 2 non-big fans I was with thought it was boring in the 4th and it's not like they changed their mind.

To me it seems like more and more stand-up, but everyone else whines about wrestling dominating the sport.

Great night of fights! Rory McDonald is the real deal. The way he dominated tonight was awesome. Really interested in seeing him take a huge step next fight.

Rothwell and Browne need to be moved up as well. Both looked good with a big KO and a nice submission tonight. I don't want to see them matched up, I would rather see them both matched tougher next fight out. Maybe Carwin and Roy Nelson.

Mike Hominick has himself to blame. He should have won that fight, but wouldn't let his hands go in the third. Good win for the Filipino.

Good outing for my boy Matt Brown. Dude is just tough.

Michael McDonald is fun to watch. Man he looks young lol

Jones looked great tonight. He just has soooo many ways he can win. Rashad has a takedown and a right. Once those were shown useless he gave up. From the 3rd round on he just wanted to say he went the distance. Did nothing to try and "win" the fight. Those elbows by Jones were sick. Rashad was practically afraid to even get close after those landed. Personally, I would like to see Jones fight more at 205. I think after Henderson, you could look for a fight with Gustafson(sp). Match Phil Davis against one of the top guys and see if he can get a win, if he does give him a shot. There are fights to be made. By then maybe you could get Silva to take a chance up at 205 against Jones. Thats a huge fight. There are always guys coming up. I would give Jones a few more years at 205, then let him move up to HW. Let him be dominant. Let us watch.

Really don't want to see Jones vs Henderson. Would rather see Jones go up to heavyweight and fight Cheik Kongo or Travis Browne or the winner of Mir/JDS. Or maybe fight Overeem if Overeem comes back.
