*not football related* Just having a look back at the 2010 election results there (ignoring N.I.) Left of center votes, including Labour, LibDem, Green, Social Democratic, Respect, Scottish Socialist, 'Trade Unionist Coalition' & 'Community and Health concern' - 15.9m If you wanted to include SNP & Plyd Cymru, pursuing Social Democratic policies in their assemblies - 16.5m Taking together the right of center votes of Conservative, UKIP, BNP, 'English Democrats' & Christian Party - 12.4m As Kent Brockman said - democracy doesnt work
Much Kudos to Everton, that was gutsy. As for Liverpool, well, woodwork, dominate, concede. Its a well established routine.
You are right. Hut is wrong, I can't blame Dalglish for that shite- you take your chances and do the simple things right. Dalglish set that team up to win and they were more than capable of it. Take your chances, defend sharpish, Johnson and his pals did not do that. Worst of all, the usual "No Gerrard, Liverpool Fail" will reverberate around. Johnson did that when Hodgson was a manager and was saved by Reina- it was in the Bolton game, the game that looked like it might have saved Hodgson at Liverpool, where he gave the ball away and Reina had to keep out Klasnic effort.
Who said Liverpool were unlucky? They didn't do their job and were punished. Its not Dalglish fault. The team he put out there were more than capable of destroying West Brom and didn't do it. Then they made a stupid error.
There's only TWO Scott Parkers!! Two Scott Parkers!!! http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/apr/22/fabrice-muamba-two-scott-parkers
Yep, good point- and the next game at home to United will prove it or disprove it, all other things being equal {like Ashley Young diving or Citeh having a player sent off} Even if they pass that test there is the Newcastle test itself but I disagree with you on one basic thing- Newcastle, as alluded to by Alan Shearer, are now going, outright, for a top 4 finish- and to not get it would be hugely disappointing- for them, their fans and the neutrals. So I think that might be a rock-em-sock-em affair, could be that Newcastle leave gaps. Its going to be interesting. This United team, for what it is worth, are poo.
There is no doubt that we are now in with a genuine shout of 4th and that this is the aim now. No doubt about it. But our run-in is about as tough as it gets and, although I'd be a trifle disappointed if we didn't make the money-bags league again, if we finish 6th it is still a near-miraculous season for us. There is no unrealistic expectation here. MTF
Well certain things have been his fault- but games like the QPR game away and todays game were not. He picked a team which he felt could do the job and which, on the balance of play, in both games, were more than capable of the task. The Wigan game was his fault, the decision to play Skrtel at right back against Spurs, in the 4-0 away defeat, was Dalglish fault. The decision to not play Carroll vs United, away, was a mistake, his own mistake. The lack of respect Maxi has gotten was his fault. Bolton, away, was probably his fault. He has been at fault, but not today I feel. When Hodgson was manager, Liverpool rarely bossed games and lost. They were bossed, and lost. Thats the difference. When a team bosses and loses, then you blame the players, because clearly the manager has set the team up to win and somehow they have failed to delivered. The truth of the matter is that failure can rarely be attributed to one sole part of any given system, but today, I can't really blame Dalglish. Liverpool had no end of chances to put it to bed.
its instilling the belief that converts performances into wins as much as it's picking the right team, imo. Lennon's had a slew of shitty luck in crunch games but it's such a recurring pattern I start to believe he's making the shitty luck. Wrong feng shuiin the dressing room, using the wrong trance words in his team talk, that kinda thing
Yes, but then you have the away win with 10 men vs Blackburn, where he left Carroll on, who grabbed the winner. He also pulled off Flanagan before he got sent off. I felt that showed solid decision making. Is Dalglish really to blame for Liverpool hitting the woodwork so often? Surely thats a tad too much. EDIT: by the way, Lucas absence has not helped at all. He was Liverpools player of the year last year and he was in line for that accolade again this year. Just a thought.
Well done Tony Watt, scoring twice on his debut today. Hopefully him and McGeough get plenty action in the last few kick abouts of the season.
I was following that on Sky Sports News as I was without my laptop for a few days....the girl was like..."Goal in the game between and Celtic and Motherwell....Tony Watt with a second" and I was like "Aaaaa!!! Two nil down"....then I saw he played for Celtic. Reminds me of that time I was listening to Bayern vs Celtic on the radio and the commentator went gaga because "Mackay" has scored. I was like "Go on Malcky ya boy ya". {Malky had left the clubs years previously} Roy fucking Makaay had scored. :blackcloud::blackcloud::blackcloud::blackcloud::blackcloud: Where did he come from???
I keep hearing that term all over Sky sports (we get one hour of sky sports on FoxSoccerChanel) and some of the FSC pregame shows and I have to be honest. I don't have a fucking clue as to what it means. They are saying that Alex Ferguson made up the term.
