    Better boxers and punch resistance.

That said Taylor provides style problems for Trinidad as well. I think it's a 50/50.

    Tito KO's Taylor 100 times outta 100.

Tito was a puncher at ANY weight (see the Joppy fight), and Taylor aint beating no puncher. Defense too shitty, stamina too shit, chin too crappy.

He'd have done well against Tito for awhile, but as ALWAYS he would have slowed. Tito would have nailed him with something big, and that'd basically be all she wrote.

If the argument is Hopkins is great, that is my counter. A completely shitty level of competition. Arguably, his toughest fighter he fought, who was actually a real legit middleweight beat him twice. Hopkins beat smaller or shitty fighters. A guy one division above him with shitty level of comp, although slightly better, beat Hopkins with ease, almost making him quit. He did beat Tarver though something Harding also did with ease.

Taylor was shit. Always was. I called it BEFORE the Pavlik fight that he would lose to the first big puncher he faced. And I picked Pavlik to KO him in the first fight (as did REED, and a few others).

How the Hell is he gonna beat Tito? Someone PLEASE explain to me how.

Is he gonna avoid Tito's shots all night? Hell no. His defense was shit. And he never had the stamina to maintain it for 12 rounds anyway.

Is he gonna handle Tito's shots when Tito does land? No. His chin was always mediocre at best.

TITO was not a puncher at middle. He had cast iron in his hands for that fight with jOPPY. Winky laughed at him like he was a bitch. JT's jab would keep Tito at bay.

He'd beat beat a puffy, chinny blown up welterweight at160 with ease.

Using The Ring magazine same logic for middleweights to heavyweights, then Rocky Marciano should never be included in a top ten list of HWs for lack of enough defenses and shitty opposition.

Taylor lost about 4-5 rounds to Kassim Ouma, and I had Spinks beating him.

The man sucked. How he beat Hopkins twice I'll never understand.

Taylor is so shitty, I sometimes think B-Hop threw those fights.

Tito wasn't exactly great either, especially a middleweight. That is my point. I have never said JT was anything other than shit. If you had Stinks beating him, i SUGGEST YOU LEARN HOW TO SCORE A FIGHT.

Well, I SLIGHTLY exaggerated. I actually scored the fight a draw.

DO NOT ask me to re-watch it. It was a horrible, horrible fight. But Cory at times made JT look like a novice.

He made everyone look bad.Stinks had that illegal Sergio Pussy style. Tito and Spinks have in much in common as fire and ice.

There's no point in bringing up their respective fights with Hopkins either.

The Hopkins of Sept 29, 2001 would have beaten the Holy living shit outta Taylor.

Sorry. I only deal in reality. The reality is Slopkins beat up shot fighters, bums and blown up welters. The fact that JT was arguably the very best person he ever fought at middleweight shows me where Hopkins should be ranked. That is far, far away from number 1

I never said I agreed with Hopkins being ranked #1. I think Hagler deserves that ranking.

All I'm saying is, there was a world of difference between the Hopkins of 01 and the Hopkins of 05.

If you were following along, I said ONCE his undefeated streak began. For what it is worth, he lost that fight too. Thank you for solidifying my already solid point, Herve.

It scares me to think what a young Roy would have done to Taylor.

I find it bemusing too, I think it's just one of those freak matchups where a vastly inferior fighter somehow has the great fighter's number.

Either way I would give Taylor the edge against Tito. Yes Taylor is better than Joppy and Holmes. Tito is nothing at 160, especially without his magic wraps.

BTW Monzon is 1, Hagler is 2. Nard could be top 5, maybe.

No, wigger. It was in the context of the thread. I already stated pages ago that JT was arguably the best once the streak began which is after Roy beat him.Go find it.

hopkins was weak at middleweight for several of his last few fights even before taylor. no shock he went up 15 lbs after the two taylor fights. i still had hopkins winning the rematch.

Again. I only deal in reality. Hopkins went 0-2 against the best fighter he had fought since Jones, IN REALITY. Thanks for adding Your meaningless opinion.Against guYs worse than TAYLOR, your excuse didn't need to be brought up. Funny, that BH was "weak" once he faced his stiffest test against a real middleweight. What about the Calzaghe fight? Was he weak there too? Joe made him try to find a way out.

    :notallthere::notallthere::notallthere:

It is amazing how extra gauze has somehow become "special wraps" over the years.

Dude....... if extra gauze was all it took to create a puncher, do you know how many trainers throughout history would have created punchers by using that technique?

Lampley asked Manny Steward (who's probably wrapped as many hands as any trainer in history) point blank if extra gauze could create extra power, and Steward said "no" without even blinking.

This whole Tito "special glove" thing is THE dumbest thing I've ever heard.
