Premier League 2011/12 Season

I don't like the hype around Messi, and that any other player who gets mentioned with him is immediately downgraded. Fact is, Ronaldo has outperformed him this season. He's scored more, crucial goals too, and his club currently stand to win more trophies this season. There's no shame in saying Messi has come off second best this season, he's still a phenomenal player.

Which is what I just said. I don't deny Messi was well on top last season.

It also can't be denied Ronaldo is currently having a better season. Let's be real here too, he isn't a one season wonder either he's been consistently brilliant over the years, just like Messi.

 

As I said to TKO, the stats back me up. He has scored against everybody. This whole thing about him going missing has been proven to be nonsense since 2008.

I think Messi has been better this season too than Ronaldo. Yes Ronaldo has scored more goals but Messi does help his team more and he is better all-around. And this doesn't downgrade ROnaldo either, both are already among the all-time greats, with Messi at top5 and Ronaldo being one of the greatest scorers ever

Messi is in a better team. Messi is in perhaps the greatest team of all time. If he's helped his team more then surely they would be top of the league right now? :dunno: At the end of the day the table doesn't lie.
