    Boo.

Wlad needs to tell the sanctioning bodies to go and fuck off with themselves.

Its a bad fight that lets his detractors detract further.

Ironically, Thompson probably would have slapped Marciano around.

I remember first fight being sloppy even affair. Made Wlad look pretty bad. I'm sure Wlad will look better this time around as he's only getting better and Thompson is 40 now. This is a waste of time though. Especially considering Wlad's last fight was the joke of a defense against Mormeck. What's next Wlad vs Peter III ? This whole divison is a joke.

I heard it will be Wlad vs. Purrity.

Povetkin barely got by Huck! I remember back in the day when he beat Byrd and Chambers I thought he was going to be a major player boy did it not turn out that way!

The Byrd fight was almost five years ago. Terrible.

Same here, if you remember, I was expecting Povetkin to become a big player in the division, around 5 years.

What a complete disappointment he is, just a useless turd like almost every other heavyweight.

I think the Klitschko's are doing this as they should. Get all of the belts and keep a stranglehold on them. Don't let anyone sneak in with a weak claim, a la Ruiz, and be able to say they are a champ.

There are a few decent challengers out there, but keeping them from being able to get a loose belt keeps all of the bargaining power and historical reflection with the Klitschko's. The IBF is the one to blame for this fight. Their allegiance to American fighters used to work for them, but now it makes them a strong candidate for worst sanctioning body. Thompson vs Maurice Harris for an eliminator in 2011?

At least if Thompson had beaten a meaningfull fighter to earn it's rematch. He basically laid an egg in the first Wlad fight, then proceed to look awful in beating former fringe contenders who are way past their expiration date ( Owen Beck, Mo Harris, ... ) and he gets rewarded with another crack at the world title. Disgusting

That's just how bad HW is right now. Couple that with the fact that the Klitchko's already beat everyone. It's hard to come up with a decent fight.

Vitali vs Valuev would be fun, just as a freak show. Chisora vs Wlad interests me.

Other than that, I'm not sure there's a fight in the division I'd bother watching.

Yeah, I always wanted to see Valuev against one of the Klits, but I don't think Valuev fights anymore.

It is not an interesting fight by any means, but I think Thompson is as credible an opponent as Wlad can fight now (as Helenius is still healing from his injury). Povetkin screwed up in his last fight, Haye is "retired", Boytsov isn't doing anything and Chisora is scheduled to face Vitali. Who else is there? After all, Thompson has given Wlad his closest fight since his return to champion

David Haye retired him, then Wlad retired Haye. Condolences.

I think Adamek-Chambers could be an interesting, maybe even a good fight. Hard to predict who will win. They might not be the best, but good second tier fighters going against each other is kind of a rarity this days in the HW division.

no this is the modus operandi of the klithcko , who in theyr calculated cowardice, make sure to only face opponents they're style mesh with, while letting his brother beat up opponent who seem to have more chance against them on paper, thus cleaning the division conjointly.

This is why we would never see wald pussy against Areola, who all mediocre that he is, might push him a little bit too hard, resulting in another humilitaing panic attack and quitjob a la Brewster, purrity and (nearly) Peter.

I feel like it might go back further than this. If I'm wrong, I'd love it if the original jesus of montreaL post could be bumped.
