    Shit hot!
Easily one of the best of the Marvel franchise - thank god it wasn't as corny and fucked-up as I suspected.
    The script, was surprisingly good...

    8/10 :bears:

Opened in UK 2 days ago...went to see it earlier today.

If you don't take a comic-book movie too seriously (like Bat-tards totally do with 'Dark Knight') then you'll love this.

I like it packed for a film like this. As long as I get there early enough to get a good seat.

The Avengers Assemble has grossed already $178.4 million overseas. And that is in only its opening weekend with only 70% of its potential markets (the movie has not opened yet in such big markets as Russia, China & Japan). Battleship came in second place in the foreign market with $22 million, but since the film opened way earlier in those markets it has accumulated already $170 million. Don't expect those kind of numbers for the game board film in the USA.

Oh, and in USA the #1 film this weekend was, again, Think Like a Man the sleeper hit of the season which turned its $12 million budget into $60 million so far and counting. Expect the comedy to have its reign ended when the Marvel/Disney film debuts this Friday.

I'll watch it for sure. I'll lower my expectations though.

Correct - I'm guessing mainly so as not to confuse the dumb-ass public who'll get it confused with that shite-awful 90s 'The Avengers' movie based on the UK TV series. :dunno:

Yeah, how stupid for comic-book characters to come out with such a thing. :laugh11:

The title just sounds dumb. Avengers assemble. Sounds like something out of an IKEA catalog.

The Dark Knight was good, and so was Watchmen, but most of these super hero movies are not good. Iron Man got hyped but it was mediocre, I suspect this will be the same.

The cool thing about the Japanese theater I usually go to is you can order your tickets on line and you select your seat right then. The bad thing is most American movies don't open until months later. For instance I might not get to see the Avengers until August.

Another bad thing is most of the Japanese people sit through all of the end credits in every movie. They don't even turn the lights on when the credits start rollling which is why I think the Japanese are brain washed into sitting through it (as Japanese people seem easily brain washed to me).

Yeah i do not get the iron man hype. That movie was whatever at best. It took me 2 years to finish it. I kept stopping it. And i have never seen the second one.

Yeah like Lib said you cant select your seats online? That shit is great. I select my seats from my computer and walk in right when the movie starts. No lines, nothing.

Thor was GREAT. I like The Incredible Hulk a little bit more than Iron Man. Iron Man was still entertaining though. The Sequel was dry.

Captain America was awful...but I guess such a cheesy outdated character would always translate badly in 2011 cinema.

Wow, halfway through the credits they do indeed reveal the next big bad guy, and then they have another scene at the very very end of the credits. If you watch the movie all the way through, you'll get why it's funny. :egypt:

How good was the CGI of Hulk compared to the 2003 Ang Lee version and the 2008 Ed Norton version?
