I fail to see any special talent in Canelo. He doesn't have great potential. He has the potential to be a very EXCITING fighter though.

Not to sound racist, but this is very true. Shane has literally made a career of destroying come forward, offensive minded Mexican's. For whatever reason, its just a style that has ALWAYS played into Shane's hands and made him look spectacular.

So while Canelo most likely wins, perhaps even a Shane that has two feet in the grave will still put a whuppin on him.

 

Agreed, I guess it's because of several things about Shane, good reach, exceptionally fast hands, and a good chin, and decent movement. He's just able to outland the classic Mexican style fighter by a huge margin, and destroy them, all the while being fairly aggressive.

I used to be a huge fan of Mosley, unfortunately once he was defeated he was never quite the same, more afraid to let his hands go, and just generally more boring etc.

 

I'm on that.

 

Canelo doesn't fight like a stereotypical mexican. He will kick Shanes ass.

 

alvarez has good athleticism and his right hand isn't bad. he also has appropriate instincts to go for the finish when he has his foe in trouble. i doubt he'll stop mosley, but i can see mosley getting worn out and retiring on his stool. too bad nazim's not the type of guy to throw in the towel.

jose cotto did put him on queer st badly. at least he learned how to recuperate, but yea, even if today's version of mosley can nail him w/ that overhand right, it will be interesting to see how canelo reacts.

if he wins this weekend, he should try and get the fight vs. mayweather. might as well lose now and make a lot of $ and still move on since he's young enough. that or if cotto loses and doesn't retire, that's a good lucrative fight too and a prelude to a potential mayweather showdown.

 

mosley is getting KOd. alvarez has been known to stop durable warriors in the past like Tata Baldomir

 

that was actually an impressive KO considering baldo's big ass head. the lead up to that KO was a bit boring though.

I will cheer every punch landed. I think Canelo is a clubfighter. If Shane has anything left(which I doubt) he could win.If he loses, he should be banned for his own safety. Canelo is garbage. He is one of the worst fighters HBO has ever put on the air.Shane does local commercials during Angel's games. His shadowboxing looks like a drunken bum and he slurs out his 2 lines in a retarded fashion. He might as well fight on. His brain is toast.

I've never seen this Saul Alvarez fight, but I already know that he'd beat Shane. Shane doesn't have the desire anymore. He's lost his speed, stamina and the will to win. Shane's going to get beat up once again.
