Thanks for the vid Gattster. Yep, that gets my vote, that goal was fucking sexual. When you add in where it took place and who it was against, it's a full blown orgasm. Beautiful.
My league goal of the season is still Crouch's. BUT, my favourite goal this season is Ramirez's against Barcelona.
I made my first wager in a betting shop. I didn't know that anyone could bet there. I thought you might have to have some sort of license. I bet $5 on Cardiff to beat West Ham tonight. To win $8. Big Money! :finger:
I've always been a big fan of Crouch, ever since he played for us. Local lad too. However I have that goal as interchangeable for 3rd/4th best with Suarez's Vs Norwich. Coates against us is in 2nd with Cisse top of the shots.
Crouch has always been criminally underrated IMO. The lad has very good feet and has always been superb at volleying a football. MTF
The pound sign on mine doesn't work either. Annoying. In a barely related annoyance ive noticed allot of UK clothes sites recently started calling trousers 'pants'. :nono:
Yep, and he has three ATG goals to his name, and its telling that nobody remembered his hat-trick vs Arsenal when it was time to talk hat-tricks after Suarez.:dunno: <object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_MHl7grCKdU?version=3&feature=player_detailpage"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_MHl7grCKdU?version=3&feature=player_detailpage" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="360"></object>
Moyes for United!!! :bears: :scared2: <object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/S0Z7w1XlojQ?version=3&feature=player_detailpage"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/S0Z7w1XlojQ?version=3&feature=player_detailpage" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="360"></object>
Watching the goal again you can't even put it down to a goalkeeping error, Cech was where you would want him to be, he stretched for it, it was just unsaveable. Wonderful strike.
If you want to know where the next great big "surprise" is coming in football, its when Moyes takes the United job and is fired two years later. Very few people can make something out of nothing, but almost everyone can make nothing out of something. Moyes is being touted on the grounds of the "great job" he has done at Everton- first off, he has blown three major chances to break through in that 10 years, but thats besides the point. Secondly, and this is the real meat of the matter, the dynamic changes brutally once he departs Everton. John Keith was on Irish radio there the other day and he was trying to point out to people that there was "nothing seismic" about finishing over Liverpool this year- Everton fans are brutally aware of the simple reality that Everton played Liverpool three times this year and lost every single time. Losing an FA Cup <strike>Semi</strike>Final to Liverpool can be made up for when you finish ahead of Liverpool. Provide Liverpool finish 2nd, that is.
Cech is a headbutt away from being a guinea-pig in some obscure, neurosurgical test-case. :: Remember Taylors goal for Portsmouth when he lashed the ball in from distance and it was "forget everything, that is goal of the season".....and then like 3 days later we had a new goal of the season :: Its so ephemeral. New heroes and villains every day.
^It's a big leap, but if he was 'Daveeeed Morales' something tells me you'd be more sanguine about his prospects
Newcastle WTF, Last week I was thinking Spurs actually deserved the CL however you cannot deny the Magpies.. Fans up there must be warming to the owner - he sacks houghton, changes the name of the stadium and the club is flying high... thats football
I know what you're saying, I thought Rooneys goal against City was good (the overhead kick), but nothing out of this world. Not a patch on Trevors. The Cisse strike was genuinely sublime though, the technique, execution, aesthetic value, was all there.
Unlikely, the press has its favourite foreign "characters" like Paolo Dick Annio and I have no love for them. Ironically, Moyes himself knows the score. Martin O'Neill is another guy that I feel is a tad overrated, he seems too emotive to be a truly great manager.
Justin Fashanu's goal is as good as any goal, yet his has been eclipsed by "20 years of football".....:wack:
The one for Norwich? Yeah that was a blinder. Since you mentioned Di Canio, his goal against Wimbledon is THE most overrated goal of all time
