Cotto would lose to all of them...and Mayweather might have a chance vs. Nando Vargas...but that's about it. Nando could do everything Cotto did last night x20, but will he be able to keep his cool...? And not get frustrated and fuck it up by doing stupid shit that could get him dq...

The Vargas of the Quartey fight would beat the ever living fucking shit outta the Floyd of last night.

Floyd has a chance against anyone except McCallum. Cotto has a chance against Vargas. They're probably underdogs in each fight though

The Hell he does! Norris would fuck Floyd up at 154! And Floyd isn't gonna handle ANY flush shot from Jackson.

Again you are assuming that Floyd fights them exactly the same way he fought Cotto whom he knew was not dangerous?

It does not work like that

  12. X, I have to say, you annoy me with this shit! :giggle:

Vargas was fighting...QUARTEY!! Quartey was a decent fighter but he was no Floyd. And Quartey's style made him out of his element at 154lbs. Floyd is more athletic than Quartey, better boxer, far more elusive, faster...blah blah bladey blah.

On the other side, Cotto has advantages over Vargas. Vargas is bigger and stronger, but Cotto is more powerful, faster, more accurate and smarter.

Don't overrate Vargas now. Vargas was knocked out by 154lb Oscar...lost to Winky wright (according to everyone but the judges) and only lasted into the 12th round with Tito because he had thumbed Trinidad in the 3rd round.

Cotto more powerful and faster? He's neither of those things. Vargas was pretty quick of hand and foot, Cotto is slowish, and Vargas is also a lot bigger than Cotto.

  14. Cotto is more powerful than Vargas. Vargas' KO%age was prodigious, but it didn't tell the full story. Cotto's combinations are most definitely faster than Nando's. Watch video footage of them side by side. Not even close.

I know you are slightly overhyping Cotto at 154 so that your NUTHUGGERY of Floyd is less obvious...but it's not working. Cotto is smarter and he might be faster in the early rounds..that about it.

    Cotto is SMALL 154 pounder...

Ever seen Cotto working the mitts? He's so slow it's laughable

The fact that Cotto does as well as he does is testament to his skill and overall ability as a fighter. He's not fast, and he's not particularly powerful.

I think Cotto is better overall than Vargas, but there's no doubt Vargas is bigger, faster, and more powerful.

Even you don't believe Cotto is more powerful. At 140, P4P? Yes, at 154? Not a chance.

Cotto working the mitt...you can't use that against him. In a real fight Cotto doesn't look that slow...who the fuck goes all out in the mitts?

Cotto is better than Vargas overall....but at 154 give me Vargas to push him around...

IMO..Floyd DOMINATES quartey and I was a quartey fan.

Ike looked GREAT against bums, he had a phone pole jab and a good right hand but against elite I think he was not all that...

I agree, I was using that as an example, he just looks EXTRA slow on the mitts, it's quite funny actually, usually fighters look faster on the mitts than in the fight, with Cotto it's the opposite.

But anyway, Vargas has clearly faster hands and feet, it's not even arguable.

They both lose to all of them. PBF may have a chance against Vargas, but it's more likely that we'll round 8 of PBF-Cotto repeated more often.

I think Winky is the only one I would pick Floyd over. He's passive enough for Floyd to outbox. I think Vargas is too big and strong.

Unlike Oscar, Vargas is a physical fighter, if Cotto would physically bully Floyd a bit, Vargas would manhandle him.

Yep, it's just nonsense and surely Sly knows it. I'm one of the biggest Cotto fans here, but it's not even arguable, Vargas clearly has more power at 154.

Quartey was exceptional. He wasn't a great mover, but he was a bull strong welter with a ramrod jab and a powerful right. I don't see Floyd easily countering over the top of Quartey's jab. In his prime, Ike was automatic with that punch. Moreso than prime DLH. He'd be constantly sticking that in PBF's face. And we all see how a shot Oscar unnerved Floyd by throwing even just a few of those.

Both Floyd and Cotto would lose to everyone on the list btw.
