Hanz's post about Floyd are accurate. A close fight with a 7 to1 underdog and now people forget that he ducked the shit out of an undefeated Cotto, Margarito and now Pacman. For once, he had a decent fight. He shits. You call it chocolate. I disagree with Hanz about Floyd's skill level, but he is one of the biggest cowards in the history of the sport. If the Manny fight doesn't happen, people will remember him for ducking Pacman.

Please I have been one of the people saying that Mayweather retired once it was apparently clear that he had to FIGHT one of the top Welters be it Cotto, Margarito or Williams. Shit throw in bum Cintron and Mr. Average Clottey.

YES Mayweather would be the favorite in all those fights, but each one of those guys would bring something new for Mayweather to deal with ex. Williams height and punch output, Margarito's....

Margarito is one of the biggest cheaters in boxing history. Not sure how anybody can be accused of ducking him. He hasn't even won a single round vs 3 elite guys since he got busted for his special wraps. He has a crazy chin but not much else. Even a way past his prime Oscar was a much tougher fight for Floyd than Margarito.

Based on what exactly. Who had he beat to be a top contender? Baldomir had accomplished more than Margarito had when Floyd fought him. If Floyd fought Tony instead of Baldomir people would say Floyd ducked Baldomir. Margarito's resume was garbage. His whole career is off of 1 win which is forever tainted because he clearly cheated.

He's less mobile. Perhaps in part by choice. His reflex', trigger, balance & stamina are all still A+. He got hit a few times for a change because he fought a decent opponent for a change.

On 24/7 which was filmed what couple weeks before the fight Floyd said he's not giving a post fight interview if it will be Larry interviewing him. And if you watch when Larry brings up the fact that Floyd came TO HIM and apologized Floyd has this look and smirk of a man thinking "Oh no you didn't" I'm sure he didn't like it. It just doesn't suit his image of this "bad boy" who doesn't give a fuck about anybody but himself and his woman 50 cent.

 

Floyd didn't duck margarita any more than Lewis ducked Byrd. Judah, Baldomir and De La Hoya were more relevant fights for him.
