Great movie. Saw it when it came on First Choice movies back in '88. I shouldn't have watched it though because I thought it was cool to say "F*ck" after every word. Steve Martin was funny!
I generally hate comedies, but this movie and There's Something About Mary have some parts where I was laughing so hard it was hard to breathe. I'd say Planes is the best comedy I've seen, though. It's just one classic, quotable scene after another.
The reviews said it sucked. I think it was on worst movie of the year lists. Googling it backs that up.
I was just confused by what you wrote. It didnt make sense. As for the movie, if you like There's something about Mary, you will like Me, Myself & Irene.
I don't know you guys, but John Candy was overrated as a comedian/comic actor. I just never laughed at anything he did or said. He was fat and made funny faces, that's it.
It's kind of weird for Something About Mary. I didn't like it the first few times I saw it but I recently rewatched it and thought it was awesome. Don't know why it didn't just click with me the first time I saw it but I like it now. Me Myself & Irene, still hasn't clicked with me yet. I didn't like that one too much.
I love the beginning montage when he buys a brand new car and it gets totalled just as he drives out of the lot.
