Sorry to leave you hanging, Anthony. More debate to follow, but right now I'm laid down on my deathbed with the flu. I must have lost 2lbs today from my sinuses draining alone. I've been accused of being weak, and perhaps I am. My asthma and allergies aren't helping this mid-May flu. If I'm like this tomorrow, it's off to the doctor's office I go.

Not only that, but when interviewed a few weeks ago, Hardy admitted that, regardless of all the training and, LOL, 'bulking-up' he did...he was utterly intimidated physically by Bale on-set.

Soon as I get back from the doctor's, I'll have at it with you again, Anthony. Leaving shortly as it's starting to look like this is pneumonia or walking pneumonia. Maybe I should do up a will to make sure Fightbeat doesn't revert back to Carlos if I die. LOL.

That's generally Hardy's sense of humor. He also claimed Shia LaBoof knocked him the fuck out, during a movie they did together.

With a wry smile on his face, of course.

Sly, I do NOT recall saying that Batman Returns was better than Batman Begins. Although, a case can be made. Batman Returns was a good movie, the only thing that harms it was Devito was a bit too over the top for my liking.

BATMAN though I stand by being better. Keaton is STILL the best ever Batman (in terms of charisma) and Jack was awesome as The Joker. Not fair to compare him to Ledger, because they were two very different Jokers.

Jack's Joker gets very underrated. There's NO OTHER ACTOR that could have pulled off that style of Joker as well as Jack did.

On the contrary, Jacks Joker is overrated. Joker is supposed to be more sinister than the one he portrayed. I just saw Jacks Joker as a fat funny guy with a few tricks.

Having said that I loved batman, but it is not better than batman begins, no way. Also Keaton sucked as Bruce Wayne. Bale was much better.

Batman Begins with Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson the monks, ninjas, scarecrow, gliding batman etc inferior to Batman? You've got to be kidding me.

Michael Keaton's performance was and is underrated. He's underrated as an actor.

Its also underrated how evil Jack's Joker was. Jack's Joker was pretty goddamn twisted and evil.

Its not fair at all to compare him to Ledger's Joker, because Nolan chose to take the Joker character in a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT direction than Burton.

You can't blame that on Jack.

And you're on Crystal Meth if you believe Bale is a better Batman than Keaton. Bale is a better ACTOR than Keaton overall, but as Batman he's boring as fuck!

Jack's evilness is very underratted. I would say he was more twisted than Keith's. He killed several people point blank, even his friends.

Bale's a better Bruce Wayne than Keaton. No doubt. As for 'batman' I don't give a fuck. Batman is in a mask beating the fuck out of villains, he doesn't need to be special. In that regard Bale was just as good as Keaton.

Sure he killed a few people, but he wasn't menacing. He wasn't a particular scary/intimidating psychotic character like the Joker of the comics.

He killed for no reason. He gassed a whole city full of people. He gassed a whole restuarant just to meet Vicky. The amount of people killed at the hand of Jack's joker compared to Heath's is off the charts.

Gotta go with X here. Keaton is easily the best Bruce Wayne. I like Bale to, but Keaton had a certain charisma that Bale doesn't.

He had fun with the part. No reason Bruce Wayne needs to be a depressed, dour fuck all the time.

Val Kilmer had potential, but he pissed away so much of his acting talent, it's actually kind of sad.

I dont think Keaton screamed money. His hair was always messy and his JC penny suits were distracting. He also didnt speak like he had money. Wasnt convincing at all IMO. But i still thought he was fun.

I also think Bruce Wayne should be depressed. All his work and the city just keps getting worse and worse.

Sure. His bodycount is bigger. But that's due to the screenplay and the story, not Jack Nicholson.

JN's jokers was a fat funny guy. Not scary at all.

The joker of the comics was grim and menacing, completely psychotic. Horribly frightening fella. Also he looked exactly like Willem Dafoe.

Yeah im pretty sure you havent seen the movie in probably 10 years. Heath's character was crazy. Jack's character was evil.

    I dunno...

Killing all of the fellow thieves after they help you rob a mob bank isn't evil?
Shoving a pencil into someone's eye isn't evil?

Attempting to blow up two ferries filled with people? Blowing up Rachel?

Heath's Joker was EVIL. he was also grim and psychotic.

Jack's was a fat funny fuck who kills some people

Wow he killed thieves. Wow he shoved a pencil in a thief's ear. Wow he gave people on a boat the chance to live.

Again, Jack killed hudreds of people just for fun. He killed many people just to have a dinner with Vicky Vale, He killed Bruce's family for what? Just because he wanted to. He fucked up that girl's face just for Art. Shot blow darts in people's neck, killed police officers, Shot bruce Wayne like he was nothing. If Wayne didnt have the plate in his shirt he would have been dead. Just shot him without even fucking blinking. I could go on. There were more people he killed. Again, the evilness isnt even comparable.

Again...this is in the "script". This wasn't Jack's portrayal of The Joker. Which is my point.

Also the guy who killed Bruce's family wasn't portrayed by Nicholson. As you were...

Everything is in the script. You think ledger made up those scenes himself? And Nicholson doesnt have to be the guy in the scene. The joker character in general is much meaner. What is more evil. Shooting bruce wayne point blank, thinking you murdered the most powerful man in the world or shoving a pencil in someone's ear? Please. Both were in the script.

Yeah yeah...but I'm speking of the "portrayal" of the character, which is obviously the relevance here. Jack's joker did all these things, but as a viewer you were never scared of him. He was a sympathetic funny guy with toys and tricks.

    Heath's jokers was more sinister.

    Portrayal is everything.

Kevin Spacey was sinister as "John Doe" in "Se7en"..in the final scenes. Place Owen Wilson in the same role, with the same script...and he's not as menacing a character.

Don't you see what I mean?

You have a warped sense of what Jack Nicholson is if you compare him to owen wilson. The guy is menancing in Real life. He will take a golf club to your head just for taking a damn picture. Sorry, im just now buying it. The character was never a guy just full of tricks. He was a guy at any moment would kill you. And he proved it time and time again in the movie. Unlike Heath.

We have to agree to disagree on this one padna. I prefer Heath's portrayal of the Joker.

What you prefer has nothing to do with this discussion. You are talking about two completely different Jokers. In the comics, the Joker wasn't always the same. This discussion is about which was more evil.
