Ain't nothing like free MMA on a Tuesday night. The Zombie-Poirier bout should be fun and it's a 5 rounder. I am most looking forward to Stephens-Cerrone. I think Cerrone could win easily if he took it to the ground. But he won't and Stephens should make it a fun stand-up battle. UFC on Fuel TV 3 Main Card (on Fuel TV): -Chan Sung Jung (145) vs. Dustin Poirier (145) -Amir Sadollah (171) vs. Jorge Lopez (171) -Donald Cerrone (155) vs. Jeremy Stephens (155) -Yves Jabouin (135) vs. Jeff Hougland (135) -Igor Pokrajac (205) vs. Fabio Maldonado (205) -Jason MacDonald (185) vs. Tom Lawlor (186) Preliminary Bouts (on Facebook): -Brad Tavares (185) vs. Dongi Yang (186) -Codie McKenzie (155) vs. Marcus LeVesseur (155) -TJ Grant (155) vs. Carlo Prater (155) -Rafael Dos Anjos (156) vs. Kamal Shalorus (155) -Jeff Curran (135) vs. Johnny Eduardo (135) -Alex Soto (135) vs. Francisco Rivera (134)
I'm looking forward to Pokrajac vs Fabio. Fabio has really fluid hands for mma. He's like 25-0 boxing record (Against South American bums but still)
got first row on press table. sitting next to frank mcneil and dan rafael at ringside. first time seeing dan at an mma event.
You do press for whom? That's pretty cool. Are you excited about a fellow Korean being in the main event ?
for 15rounds.com. i've been covering for them for years now after i stopped writing for fightbeat. this is only my second ufc coverage. yea, i like jung. he's fun to watch. dongi yang is fighting in the fight after this. that ncaa stud marcus levesseur is getting in the cage now.
Cool. What time does the actual tv card start at ? And how is it sitting cage side? Is it fun to watch or is it better to watch on tv ?
sometimes it's hard to see what's going on when both guys are on the ground. but there are three giant screens on each end of the arena so i can view the screen for blind spots.
When you lose to that hippy ass one trick pony motherfucking Cody McKenzie you need a lot of work (Joony feel free to use that line in your article)
there are at least six korean media members (from korea) sitting behind me. dongi yang about to fight now.
Great boxing and body punching by Fabio. Love seeing him go to the body when Igor goes for the Muay Thai clinch!
close fight. i thought fabio won. still, not impressed considering the guy is 22-0 with 21 KOs in pro boxing.
Stepehens way too passive. He looks scared. He should have tried and out bullied Cerrone . That's the way you beat that big broke back mother fucker.
What a great card. Between Maldanado-Pokrajac and Zombie-Poirier, holy shit, what fights. I can't believe we got this on Tuesday night.
I've got to say that I am really digging the FUEL TV pre-fight, broadcast and post-fight shows. They do a great job. I'm not sure yet, but I think I prefer Kenny Florian to almost any other MMA broadcaster. The dude is still a bit green and goes overboard but I like his insight. Frank Mir, when he did the WEC broadcast, was one of the best. He is extremely intelligent and can deliver his points clearly. Florian is the same way. I just wish FUEL wasn't just tied to the UFC, but they do a great job as the UFC Network.
Wow, that Francisco Rivera - Alex Soto fight was quite good. Rivera has power that you don't usually see at 135. He dropped Soto a number of times with punches and kicks, and at other times he wobbled and rattled him. He just couldn't finish and didn't try for takedowns. Rivera's entertaining to watch---no doubt about it.
