Depends what you mean by retire. I can imagine him retiring soon undefeated, then coming back in a couple of years and losing.

    But properly retire undefeated? No.

    How about you?

YES! Miguel Cotto was the only fighter left that was able to take that 0 away IMO. Manny Pac dosent have much of a chance against Money. That fight aint happening regardless.

You're thinking too much in terms of who would beat Floyd RIGHT NOW. It wouldn't be too surprising if Floyd lost to someone who was meant to just be an opponent, age 37/38, in a couple of years time, an underdog who just took him by surprise and overwhelmed him.

I can't envisage him properly retiring undefeated, he just doesn't seem the type.

Kind of how i see it too. Right now the only guys who have a chance at beating him are Pac or Martinez and neither of those fights are going to happen. My guess is FLoyd retires but makes another "comeback". He'll lose to somebody at that point.

Yeah money may could turn out like Leonard in that he'll continue to retire and return until he gets a humiliating defeat.

Hard to say. He may also fight a couple more high profile fights, win, realize he's slowing down and retire and start a family with 50 cent.

    I think he'll retire undefeated.

Mayweather is very smart. He's not going to put himself in a situation knowing he cant come out the winner. Not at this stage of the game.

Yup, he will. He loves that zero too much.

Get ready for 30 years of him saying he's the best ever because scrubs like Ray Robinson, Emile Griffith, Roy Jones, Henry Armstrong, Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis, Salvador Sanchez, Pernell Whitaker, etc., etc., etc................have more losses then him.

I hope I'm wrong. I hope he loses a close fight real soon and uses that as motivation to come back and start taking more chances before it's too late and he's already all used up like Roy Jones, when he finally started taking more risks.

it will depend on if he really is being silly with his money and blowing it all. i think he's smart enough to realize when he isnt sharp and in danger of losing but financial hardship could cause him to return anyhow and lose to someone who couldnt have touched him at or close to his peak.

    YES.....

The only threat other that Pacquiao(slightly) is Martinez...Floyd isn't fighting either so he is safe.

He will probably have 2-3 more fight and he retires. Floyd and GBP are probably saving up Canelo for Floyd going away fight...on May 2012

If he fights Pac and then finishes out the rest of his career at 147, who is there that can beat him?

He's actually blowing his money. He's gonna be like Roy Jones. Floyd has deteriorated before our eyes. Reflexes are going at mid-30s and now further inactivity will lead to further deterioration.

Fraud is a guy who is going to be forgotten about very quickly. Despite what his recent box office appeal tells us, he never captivated the public like Tyson and Ali did. The public knows Fraud fought guys at the end of their careers (Oscar, Shane), clearly ducked a real threat (Pacman) and most of his fights were boring sh*t.
Fraud's absence didn't make a mark after the Hatton fight and when he's gone, people gonna look to his sh*t performance against a shot Cotto and say he was getting old and gonna get KTFO soon anyway.
Fraud also has lost a lot of his money so he's gonna be leaving boxing and then trying to come back in his late 30s and while his entourage of criminals are saying he's looking good in sparring, the cunt will be 10% slower and will get KTFO or get humiliated by a dude who's supposed to be an easy touch. Kinda like how a shot Cotto made him look like an old piece of sh*t.

yeah, you said in 2005 he was declining too I guess. He thought he was invincible. Cotto wasn't even supposed to win a round basically. It was supposed to look as one-sided as Fraud/Gatti. We saw Fraud is declining and fast. He's also not saving his money which means when he's broke in 2 years and trying to keep fighting while nearing 40.

Well, he's already done it once. I guess he could manage it a couple more times (depending on the level of comp that may present itself).
