I kid not. Just filed to ESPN: Andre Berto tested positive for steroid, putting June 23 fight with Victor Ortiz in jeopardy.

WTF! I'm not a conspiracy guy but I'm starting to think G are tampering with all their risky opponents drug tests.

Though with Berto, I'm not surprised, simply for the injury he is coming off. He must have been on some sort of steroid for the healing process, whether he's still on it or not is another matter.

Going back to De La Hoya's own career. Didn't Mosley and Vargas both come up positive against him. Last month Peterson against Khan and now this.

Do fighters just become stupid when they go up against a G fighter?

I can't see how cancelled promotions and lost dates profit any promoter involved...both Ortiz and Khan would have been favoured to win both rematches anyhow

Well if anything it makes it look like Floyd is doing roids. If you notice the pattern it's the guy who REQUESTS it that gets busted no the other way around.

These are Americans we are dealing with. They are not much for noticing stuff, except what HBO notices for them. Berto and Peterson are both limited guys who went life and death with Ortiz and Khan respectively. They both volunteer for testing and they both test positive. Eventually, even the simplest of "Math" is going to be done by enough of fans.

I'll say it....Oscar and Schaefer are worse for boxing than Don King. I don't believe this sort of shit would appeal to King at all.
