Welcome to the debut edition of the Ultimate Prediction League. You guys should already be familiar with the rules, but I'll just go over a few of the main ones. You pick the winners, method of victory and round of the 5 PPV main card fights. You must send me your picks via PM. You have until 1 hour before the PPV begins (9:00 EST) to send me your picks. Picks not sent via PM or sent after the deadline will not be counted. Scoring is as follows.... Picking the winner: 5 points (10 points if you correctly pick a draw) Picking the round (must pick the winner): 2 bonus points Picking the method of victory (must pick the winner): 2 bonus points Main Event fights will be scored double. The player with the most points will be crowned the first ever UPL Champion. The second place finisher will become the Number 1 Contender, and will Challenge the champion at UFC 147. The rest of the players will move on to the Battle Royal at UFC 147 to determine the Number 1 Contender for UFC 148. Here are the fights.... -Junior dos Santos (14-1; #1 Heavyweight) vs. Frank Mir (16-5; #5 Heavyweight) -Cain Velasquez (9-1; #3 Heavyweight) vs. Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva (16-3) -Roy Nelson (16-7) vs. Dave Herman (21-3) -Shane Del Rosario (11-0) vs. Stipe Miocic (8-0) -Stefan Struve (23-5) vs. Lavar Johnson (17-5) Good luck. TFK
Why giving 10 points for a draw? The chance there is a draw is slimmer than in boxing so picking a draw when you can only double your points is stupid. You could just say draw is like no contest because no one in their right mind will ever pick a draw with that rule.
me. Z, pm me your picks, just wanna see for fun. I will pm mine back. no changing when you see mine cuz you idolize me.:kidcool:
I should have made my picks, but I came back late yesterday. Nothing wrong with talking about the card after the fact though. Who would have thought Dan Hardy would have stopped Bang Ludwig like that? I would have picked Ludwig going in. Something was clearly wrong with Miller's knee. He's usually not that bad, but he looked crappy against Dolloway. I would have picked Barbosa as well. Varner took him out of his gameplan pretty quickly though. Barbosa wasn't out, but he couldn't get out of that position and the ref can't let Varner basically hammerfist his face till the round ends.
