Deine Zeit Ist Um.......your time is UP. America no longer calls the shots in this World. Neutral territory, full drugs testing programme, VADA, WADA or NADA at all.

Froch just shook up the boxing world. That result makes a lot of noise, is Ward prepared to live off a stinky one-off win, with his vials and his butts and his gumshield spitting, or is he prepared to come to a neutral location and redouble his efforts?

I think Germany or Canada would be great locations.

"Shook up the boxing world"

I'll say one thing for Irish...he is at least consistent with his bullshit exaggerations.

You Speak as if Ward SQUEAKED by Froch or Won w/Even a SHRED of Controversy...He DIDN'T...You Also Speak as if Ward is the Recipient of Some SLANTED Sway Based on Being American...As if he has a Bute-Andrade I Moment...

Carl Froch just Etched Perhaps the SIGNATURE Win of his Career, yet All U Wanna Talk about is Andre Ward???....

Ward's Lack of POWER is his Biggest Detriment...He's AGGRESSIVE, Throws a Good Amount of Punches & is Technically SOUND...But KNOWING his Bouts will Go the Full 12 Rounds, AHEAD of Time, Detracts from Ward's "Fan-Friendliness" for Sure...

There's a DECENT Amount of "Action" in a Typical Andre Ward Fight, but the Fact that he All but CAN'T Register a KO, Adds an Air of REDUNDANCE to his Fights....

I wouldn't be very surprised to see Ward fight Froch again, especially if he loses conclusively to Dawson. More likely he would fight Bute in Montreal on showtime, where the latter is vulnerable but a big draw. I'd imagine ward-dawson will generate as much gate and buzz as bradley-alexander, and if so, there is no commercial reason why Ward shouldn't have to travel to defend his championship, rather than have subscription tv channels fund his boxing career entirely.

    agreed a 100%

while he's fairly aggressive, his lack of power and his superb all around skills make his fight so predictable that you lose interest after a few rounds. The only one I enjoyed was the Kessler one as it was so shocking

Ward's ROUTINELY Packed in 8-10 THOUSAND, if REED's Not Mistaken, Since he Entered the Super 6...He's a Legitimate DRAW in Oakland...

Bradley-Alexander is a Valid Comparison, a Fight that SHOULD have Taken Place in St. Louis, as Opposed to Detroit, where NOBODY Gave a Flying Fuck about EITHER Guy...

He's a decent draw, but not comparable to Bute in Montreal, even Kessler draws twice as many at home. However, if Dawson-Ward is outside of California, that would be a crime.

What was the LIVE GATE Though???...REED Recalls Calzaghe Fighting Somebody (Kessler Perhaps), w/MORE than 50,000 Asses in the Seats, yet the Live Gate was LESS than a BIG Las Vegas Fight Typically is, in a 15-20,000 Seat Venue...

Kessler May "Draw Twice as Many @ Home, but is that Translating into Twice as Much REVENUE as Well???....

    REED:dunno:

ps. We'll Probably Need to REassess Bute's Marketability in Canada, Given the Circumstances!!...

"Ward nuthuggers" has to be the funniest phrase coined here in some time. Reed is close as they come and he is a cheerleader in general and he is pretty lukewarm. I hate me some Andre Ward. disgusting style and human being

It was a play on Wald Pussy. First there was Wald, now there is Ward.

In any case, I'd just like to see Froch get a shout in Nottingham vs Ward, with all the trimmings. Hardly a massive ask.

    Yeah, I gathered that.

Ward holds all the cards, unfortunately. And it's not like the first Ward/Froch fight was in Ward's hometown.

I don't see how he "holds all the cards". He won Super 6. Guess what? Super 6 is over. He's not a money maker, now is he? Besides, those are just some of the considerations. Roy Jones never took a fight on the road in his entire life until he was shot to pieces. Now he gets knocked out by stiffs in places like Moscow and Australia. Is that what Ward wants? Be a little original, a little different, .....be a little like Froch.

When it comes to Froch he holds all the cards. He does. If Froch wants to even the score he should do whatever he can, go wherever he has to to secure the fight.

What did Ali have to do to get a rematch with Frazier? Or Andries with Harding? Or Benn with Eubank? Benn went out and got a WBC title and a rematch was announced.

    Did Lewis hold all the aces when he beat Vitali? People were clamouring for that. Lewis would have been obliged to give him 12 weeks notice, and it wouldn't have been in London either. {VK would have gone there but thats beside the point}

I think this Ward situation is a bit incongruous with the general system of rematches.

Yeah, but tons of people actually wanted to see Ali/Frazier and Benn/Eubank rematches.

Ward/Froch wasn't really a close fight. It also wasn't exciting.

Ward hasn't even fought since beating Froch. You're jumping the gun here.

Thats my point. Froch is still making waves. Now, it may be a bit moot, I suspect myself that old Froch has his eye on Kessler, for obvious reasons such as Kessler is easier to beat, Kessler fight is easier to make etc, but.....still....arguing against a re on the grounds that Ward hasn't fought yet is a bit daft, unless you are arguing for a tune up, in which case fine.

Nah, I'm just suggesting we give it a little time. Right now, not even one fight removed from beating Froch, Ward doesn't have to do anything. But perhaps some of the shine will come off over the next year or so and traveling for a Froch rematch will be a legit demand. Right now, IMO, it isn't.

And honestly, I'd way rather see Froch/Kessler II. First fight was great and I really have no idea who would win. That's an excellent fight.

I'd take Ward-Bute, after the Dawson fight (which doesn't intrigue me much), Bute is vulnerable but not as crap as he looked last night, and Ward doesn't have the same power to dominate him as Froch.

Froch - Kessler 2 would work well, Kessler didnt impress me much outside of the final shot against Green, he was swallowing jabs consistently early doors and reaching with his shots - I suspect neither guy has deteriorated much and a second fight could go either way
