But he did lose his two biggest fights.....however his competition since 2008 has been brutal.

For what it's worth, I think Froch loses to Eubanks and Calzaghe (primes). Calzaghe, especially, has the perfect style to murder Froch...

However, he is 6-2 in eight straight elite fights. There are literally NO question marks with him: we know how he fairs against ALL of his peers. Ward is too quick over twelve, Kessler and Froch fought a tough, close fight but Froch beats the rest of his peers. Behind Lewis, maybe, no-one bar Jimmy Wilde (from way back when) can claim the same quality of resume.

There is nothing negative to say about Froch. Unlike that pussy homo jailbird Gayweather, he talks shit and backs it up. Dude has one of the best levels of competition in recent memory.

 

Very hard to say. I think, in his favour, is the sheer volume of big names on his resume, how he has beaten them, and when he has beaten them. He beat Pascal, then Pascal beat Dawson. That's a massive massive feather in his cap. That sequence alone puts Carl Froch square in the middle of any discussions about fights that are taking place in the division above him. Not only are we preoccupied with his place at 168....but he has a dog in the race at 175 too, without even having fought there. He also did something Haye and Khan did not do, and even Hatton to an extent, he totally cleared out the domestic scene. Dodson, Magee, Reid, Matt Barney, etc....all bar Calzaghe, and that was a question of timing, not avoidance, both men were on different tacks at that stage.

I'd say he is right up there, its a matter of taste and semantics after that, personally.

He's overtaken Hatton, too many big names, too many big wins, an equally pleasing style, and no embarrassing defeats.

I think Steve Collins could have beaten Froch, but Froch is a far greater fighter.

Froch isn't finished yet either. Watch this space.
