The reporter is claiming that GB and Mayweather have an agreement to sweep failed drug tests under the rug? And that Mayweather failed 3 tests?
Would be really funny if it turned out to be true. That would fuck Mayweather over more than any loss.
As Montoya wrote in his reply, some of the info in the lawyer's letter went beyond what he had heard. Should be interesting.
HaHa. Coming from the same company that tried to sue a Russian hooker for spreading photo-shopped photos of Oscar. Photos that turned up being real. These guys are sociopaths. Conspiracy theories or not, these guys are fucking dirt.
Look, and thanks for posting this stuff, but....this isn't about me or my suspicions per se, I merely ask, as a general question, why would anyone not suspect promoters or managers or camps or teams or networks??? Suspicion, in boxing, is part of the deal, its healthy and natural to suspect everyone of everything, all of the time. I never regarded Montoya or Max as being worth a damn, but when a mere literary pigeon, scratching at the asphalt surface with his little blunt beak has these goons so spooked and frightened, then, well, you do kind of have to ask, just WTF is going on here.
And that is the bottom line. Oscars a cheap moron, but Schaefers the daddy in all of this. These guys do dirty in a way that a street guy like King wouldn't understand. King was a numbers runner, these guys are pedophiles by contrast. Who would have thought that in the so-called modern era, the era of F*I*S*T, and the Muhammad Ali Act, etc, that we would come across people worse than King? King was a thief, a racketeer, a policy guy, but Golden Boy are just bad.
Here's the thing, for me, personally, I couldn't care less. Drugs don't give him the best D in the game, or the talent that he has. Its being on drugs, and giving out about everyone else, that is what is unforgivable. If boxing is nailed with a pan-global drugs beef, then we are really screwed. The press will crawl all over boxing without mercy.
I don't understand how many times a guy coming from the financial sector, somebody familiar with the minutia of paperwork and contracts is consistently fucking up contracts and paperwork, either in favor of the company or their fighters..............and nobody is coming to the conclusion this is a calculated strategy of theirs. Hell, every time they get caught they just go "whoops, our bad", or "what do you mean?" and go on with life with no repercussions. Who knows how many times they haven't been called to the mat and gotten away with their bullshit, no questions asked. They are far more devious and subtle then King or Arum ever were. Maybe a product of the times, maybe a product of a hedge fund manager mentality that is used to stealing millions, no questions asked in the name of the free market. At least King and Arum (to a lesser extent), actually put on interesting match-ups. These guys are modern corporate fuck-ups. Constant risk assessment, monetizing strategy, increasing the valuation of the company, without a care of the actual product being put out.
`This isn't about getting Floyd. Of course, Mr Khan would be next. I wonder if Montoya has the guts to see this one out.
Maybe Montoya can pass it on. Its disgusting......you've got Floyd saying he is cleaning up the sport, and Khan asking for people to be banned, and now there is all this talk about suing Montoya because he dug up something that casts the wrong sort of light on Floyd and his people. Well well well.
It does seem like Montoya is a decent digger. Not much of a story teller, but he likes to dig. I respect that.
Yes, thats very much my scene too, Not everybody can be a raconteur, but the digging is to be appreciated. Good on him. I never thought anyone over there was any good. I was wrong, I hope, and its probably unfair to expect him to wrestle the 800lb Gorilla forever, either.
Earlier today Montoya was tweeting the letters I posted to Rafael at ESPN. Rafael has the platform, but I doubt he has the drive or the balls.
Have you read this Irish? http://www.maxboxing.com/news/sub-l...t-to-know-is-we-are-playing-on-the-same-field It's a perfect case study on how not to write a news story, but he gets to his headline about halfway through the piece. More Golden filth.
A young, Pre-ESPN Max Kellerman might have run with this. Right now, who is there? Bunce is paid for, SKY?~ ::........somebody in Germany might run with it, but then its just bad news coming out of Germany. Nobody in the UK will bother. Its going to be in California, or nowhere.
