Fuck that He hit Charles Brewer with everything but the kitchen sink and couldn't floor him Charles Brewer had Mia St. John's chin
GTFOH, Rivera gave everybody hell... the only guy who ever came close to dominating him was Hoya... every other guy had a lot of trouble
So what, he had a ton of documented hand trouble. His career kayo percentage shows objectively he could punch a little bit. hE WASN'T a puncher, but he had some power.
No, no , no If you are going to call Vernon Forrest a "feather fist", I am not going to sit here and just observe you attempting to attach the word "power" to Calzaghe
Joe's kayo ratio was higher. FORREST HAD ZERO POWER for the tv portion of his career due to injuries. . I am not saying Joe was Jullian Jackson. You and others say Joe couldn't punch and it is bullshit. He kept people at bay. That is all I am saying. If he truly were a slapper, just look at this rationally, people would have walked him down. He squared up and slapped people. He had something on those slaps. This is just annoying. If you hate the guy, go the fuck ahead and hate him. It is just ignorant to say he had nothing on his punches especially. You are trying to get me to argue a point I have never made. Joe wasn't a puncher.
if vernon forrest was named Valerio Fortuno this bitchass bigot Rocco would consider him a murderous hitter.
I lost a lot of respect for Shane in the Pacquiao non-fight when he showed up only to survive and get a big payday. It taints his legacy, but he still gets into the IBHOF.
Ditto. And it exposed a mental frailty he always had, IMO; namely that if he perceived ANY chance he might get KOd in a fight he went into a shell.
But he should have at least tried to win. Arturo Gatti was COMPLETELY outgunned vs Mayweaher. This was apparent in the first 30seconds of the fight. Yet Gatti kept trying to win all the way to the end. That's HEART!!! Shane didn't show that against Pacquiao.
Gotta admit I was pretty fucking disappointed and surprised about that, his performance in the Pacquiao fight. At one point he was my second favourite fighter behind Morales, and I honestly thought he was too much of a warrior than to show up for a payday and nothing more. He basically cheated everyone out of their money to see a fight. Doesn't matter how much he had left, he signed to fight, it was his job to fucking fight, not do everything possible to avoid a fight for 12 rounds.
I don't get why anybody would be surprised? We knew that's how Mosley reacts to major adversity for close to 10 years.
To some extent yeah, but this was a whole new level, he literally didn't even try to fight, at all, for 12 rounds.
Gatti wasn't 40 years old. Judging Shane's career on that fight is like judging Leonard on the Camacho KO. Not to mention, Shane took far harder shots against Canelo and he still didn't bitch up. He tried to win.
