Talk about talking a lot and saying so little...

Unless I miss my guess, the whole purpose of the MM forum is to talk about fighters from different times would do against each other. Cooney vs Arreola is a match up of two fighters who failed in title shots against the top guy in their division. And if you want to fall back on alphabet rankings, it was pretty well known back in the day that Cooney's #1 ranking was suspect since his biggest wins were against washed up former top heavies like Norton, Lyle and Young.

But since nobody sees that as a competitive fight, why to post it?

I don't see what it would be so far-fetched about thinking it might be a competitive fight.

Other than doing well against Holmes, Cooney never did anything to set himself apart from other middle of the pack heavies.

Arreola would probably be the most impressive win on Cooney's resume and vice versa.

    Good fight.

    This is absolutely false

There are at least 5-10 guys here who vehemently disagree with any such notion and will call anyone who does agree with it "Bert Sugar" or will accuse the person making the observation of jingoism

wald pussy sucks, I basically pick most good heavyweights over 200 pounds to knock him out

Vitali is a different animal and I think most people, while deservedly mocking his opponents, do respect him and think he is formidable

Yeah, wald pussy is garbage. Ugo only hypes him because he's racist. :crafty:

agREED. There's nothing to suggest that Vitali is an easy out for anyone. But his competition, for the most part, blows.
