Important point, as Bute-Froch again recently proved. Difference between looking good against good and great opponents can be huge

Let's not go crazy with 'great', k?

But the point does stand. In this case, it's not just the competition level, but the spectacle. Pacquiao is used to these huge events. Bradley has never had everyone watching before.

I can almost guarantee Bradley IS ready to fight his arse off, and won't be phased.

A more important point is level of competition.

Anyone picking Bradley has to be giving him the benefit of the doubt, including me, as although he's looked several levels above everyone he's faced so far, he hasn't faced anyone even close to Pacquiao's level.

I really want Bradley to win

I think it's all about how he starts. Does he come out loose, comfortable? I think if Pac is smart, he will try to test him early, bring some real heat... If Bradley can handle that coming from the best guy he's ever fought and on the biggest stage of his life, I think he's got a great chance of winning, at the very least winning unofficially. Bradley looks like he's really focused on this. He appears confident.

I will take the gamble here and say Bradley wins the decision. I think he's strong enough, he's got youth on his side, he's tunneled and believes he can fight his fight.

I think it's a good fight, a lot of slam-bang exchanges. Bradley needs to stay inside as often as possible, he needs to work whenever they are in close quarters, go to the body. It wouldn't hurt, either, if he were to rough it up a bit, be a little dirty. Nothing blatant, but a sneaky shot here or there. Pacquiao doesn't like that kind of rough stuff.

I think Bradley can do it, I hope he can do it. This sport is dying for a shake-up.

he fought plenty of those coming up. Much greater fighters than Bradley. If he loses to Bradley he's still great.

Really he did? But the question was when was the last he fought someone like that??

And yes Pacquiao is and will still be great of he gets beat...not as good as Mayweather but still good....

Because Floyd said he's on steroids? It's not like he's actually failed a test.

Let's take a quick look at Pac's post 130 run

David Diaz - bum, he ducked Marquez to fight him

DLH - greatly diminished, drained, Floyd beat him first

Hatton - Floyd KO'd him and took his mojo, had troubles making weight, looked like shit before Pac

Cotto - everyone thought he was shot, coming off a career-altering beating from Margarito. Floyd would've fought him sooner, Arum refused to allow the fight to happen at the time.

Joshua Clottey - Not much needs to be said here. BANG!! BANG! BANG! You called him a "dangerous welter" and everyone else laughed at you.

Margarito - exposed as a cheating bum, coming off a big loss to Shane Mosley. After Margarito-Mosley, Floyd fought Shane, Pac fought Margarito. Hmm.

Shane Mosley - got his ass kicked by Floyd first, looked like shit against Mora before the Pac fight

Juan Manuel Marquez - only fought him after shamelessly ducking the rubbermatch because he thought the weight would be too much for him after Floyd shut him out. Got a gift decision to boot, he lost that fight.

You can break down and denegrate pretty much any resumé in history though.

Up till Mosley, it was a pretty amazing run - factoring in the size of the guy, you can't forget that.

"Like I said before" I give Roy more credit for beating Ruiz than any heavyweight, and even Floyd more credit for beating Oscar than say Sturm or Hopkins.

Floyd's resumé at 147 is worse, you know why? He's been at the weight for almost 7 years, can you believe that?

Which isn't true. But I do agree that Pacquiao has a superior resume.

Good for you LOK, we'll see, I'm pretty pumped about this fight now, especially given the amount of canned fights etc this year.

I do think a Bradley KO is the least likely outcome though. Braddles isn't much of a puncher, and Pacquiao has a very solid chin.

Yeah, I can't wait. Most interesting Mayweather or Pacquiao fight in years, IMO.

Same here, as far as Pacquiao is concerned, it's easily his most interesting fight since Cotto, and the first good, prime, hungry fighter he's faced in ages.

In fact when would you say is the most recent time Pacquiao has faced someone with the combined ability/youth/hunger as Bradley?

I guess that's one of the reasons I give Timmy such a good chance.
