wasnt sure because i am an eternal optimist and i didnt have a great view of the fight. the texts i was being sent had me figuring it was a lost cause.
I wouldn't really call myself a Pac hater. he just had a trilogy of fights with my old favorite fighter, Morales and I also like Marquez, who fought him three times. So I have mostly been against him. If he fought the wifebeater after the wifebeater's ass gets over the prison rapes, I'll definitely back Pac over that thug.
Fair enough, I know you used to seem way more of a hater than you are now. Even though he beat up Morales, my favourite modern fighter, I was already a Pacquiao admirer by then after the trouncing he gave Barrera.
Yup.. I could maybe see an argument for I think it was the 5th or 6th, MAYBE if you were giving Bradley all possible benefit of the doubt. I'd say this is karma coming back to bite Pac in the ass for the Marquez fights, but those fights were close.. this one was just an out and out robbery.
Pacquaio CARRIED Bradley. Tim was gased, dazed and out of answers by the 4th. This wasn't even close. Bradley was badly outclassed.
Agreed, I can't see round 2 for Bradley. Pac clearly slowed his pace after sixth and I think you could find four or possibly even five rounds that Pac did not clearly win, but Bradley didn't win them either and certainly not seven of them
I had 7-5 Pac in a drunken state with a sympathy rd to Brad. But those 7 Rds were clear as day, zero doubt.
The decision might be a fck off to both Mayweather and Marquez. Pacquaio just TOYED with one of his few credible opponents, which he is running out of. Wouldn't mind seeing Manny in there with Canelo May 2013.
Seriously, just watched the fight and Manny won that by a country mile. Timmeh only won say 2 rounds max and that was due to Manny urging him on as he was so bored and dominant in there he felt sorry for Timmeh. Complete robbery.
Told you it wasn't comparable to Manny's fights with Marquez ;) Fucking bizarre wasn't it? He did only win 2 rounds, and that was basically because Pacquiao stopped fighting for some reason.
It was a complete mismatch. Manny's straight left was sooo dominant. He definitely took the foot of the gas in the last few rounds. More like a sparring session for Manny.
Without there even being the threat of a big punch turning the fight around, as there possibly could have been with Mosley. What's your theory on the logic behind this obscene robbery?
Pacquiao stopped pushing it after six rounds and coasted away. This tends to lead to two kinds of misscoring: 1) Since there is no dramatic turn of events, you keep giving Pac rounds for keeping things in control, even though he doesn't necessarily actually do enough to win them. 2) Since Pac stops pushing it and Bradley kept trying, judges can lean towards him because he seems to do better, even if he doesn't actually win the rounds. Manny stole some rounds with end flurries, but if two minutes of the round go by with neither doing anything, then stealing it in the last 30 seconds is a legit way to win a round. I could perhaps see 7-5 for Pac, but no way Bradley won
Arum's run out of opponents for Pac, he had to stoke a non-Floyd superfight. The rematch will be the attempt i guess. either that or G are behind it ::
I had it 9-3 Pacquiao and that was giving Bradley every benefit of the doubt. The rounds that Bradley won were by the skin of his teeth. Whenever Bradley seemed to find something that worked Manny adjusted and shut him down. When they read that decision I was just floored. On what planet did Bradley win seven rounds?
Yep, sounds about right. Arum is a scumsucking cunt. I can't believe scrub Bradley is on record with a win against Pacquiao after basically being schooled, and the great Marquez isn't, after arguably beating Pacquiao twice. Sickening. I'd love it if Manny just retired, and skanked Arum out of his filthy plan, but as that won't happen, I really, really hope Pacquiao knocks Bradley the fuck out in a rematch. If he can somehow muster a bit of his old fire, it shouldn't be a problem.
