I thought Pac won, and it was not difficult to score it as a Pac win. My objection to the sentiment surrounding this fight is that many people (stepping right in line with the HBO commentary) are looking at the fight as if it were a blowout. Thank you Harold Lederman.

But I gave Timmy 4 rounds. And I think you could make a case (perhaps a weak one) to give him 5 rounds. Thus, I have trouble seeing this in the "worst robbery in boxing history" or "weirdest event in boxing history" light.

IMO, Bradley would do most of the work in a round, and then Pac would land 2-3 decent punches in the last 30 seconds, and suddenly Pac unquestionably took the round. No.

Ultimately, however, even as a fan of Tim Bradley, I could not score the fight a Bradley win. He lost. So while I think the official scores were off, I have seen worse. Since it's Pac, people naturally are going to invest more emotion into this fight, and certainly scrutinize it more than if this exact fight occurred on the undercard and was between "Jaydon Johnson" and "Alejandro Gomez". In that case, no one would give it a second thought. The byline would read "the judges favored so-and-so's style over so-and-so's resulting in an unpopular decision win for so-and-so". And on we go.

I think you should watch the fight again with a closer eye.

Bradley wouldn't "do most of the work" he'd do most of the flailing away and hitting air and arms. He landed almost nothing, literally. Even Pacquiao himself said he didn't feel Bradley hit him properly once, only landed some jabs.

There were a few rounds where Timmy threw more, sure, but in those rounds Pacquiao landed more.

There were only 2 rounds where Timmy outlanded Pacquiao, rounds 10 and 11. If you watch the fight and simply look at how many punches are actually landed, not thrown, you'll realise what an obscene robbery it is. Probably the worst I've ever seen, even worse than the recent Rios vs Abril fight, Whitaker Vs Chavez, and the Casamayor robbery.

I was almost as disgusted with the Abril robbery by the way, even though I'd never even seen Abril fight before, and am a borderline Rios fan. It has nothing to do with Pacquiao, a robbery is a robbery and this was one of the worst in boxing history.

10 to 2 Pacquiao really is the fairest, most objective score.

Same here, mainly to piss Arum off in addition to Pacquiao not being the beast he was. What are your reasons?

I just watched the fight and that is exactly how I saw it... for a lot of the rounds nothing much happened for 2 minutes until Manny attacked in the final 60 seconds... Bradley did not take advantage of those quite spells..

    shameful...

Not sure if you were reading any of the threads before the fight, but I bigged Bradley up a fair bit and felt he was being underrated. He disappointed me big time, he really had nothing to offer Pacquiao at all.

And it's not like Pacquiao was the same furious whirlwind that raped Barrera for example, this was the most passive, inactive, beatable Pacquiao ever.

Yep, as I said in another thread the best case scenario would be for Pacquiao to just retire properly, and Scrubby Timmy to fight Marquez, another vastly superior fighter, and get knocked the fuck out.

Exactly the way I saw it. The thing that bothers me, as usual, is how absolutely blind and/or biased the HBO commentators seem to be.

If you listened to Lampley, Manny and Kellerman without watching the video, you would have thought Bradley was getting beaten to a pulp. He wasn't. But he was clearly the second best fighter in the ring.

I think it was a questionable decision. I think Bradley got a gift. But it wasn't near the robbery of Whitaker-Rameriz I, Whitaker-Chavez or Briggs-Foreman.

I think it was considerably worse than all of them, I think giving Bradley 3 rounds is very generous.

I think some of you need to rewatch the fight.

In some rounds Bradley LOOKED busier but was landing nothing, I mean literally almost nothing.

Rounds are won on clean punches landed, not thrown.

There's just no possible way Bradley outlanded Pacquiao in 4 rounds, let alone 7.

Of course not, Bert Sugar is dead and you you want his job. Whitaker's hideous style should never be compared to the masculine, exciting , violent style of Pacman. Whitaker deserved not only more decision losses, but more dq loses for his excessive holding. This one was worse.

I am not arguing that Bradley deserved the decision. As I scored it last night live and again this morning, I gave Bradley 4 rounds.

That being said, my point is about Lampley saying shit like "Another left hand by Manny and Bradley is in serious trouble". And he said it more than once.

Bradley was never in serious trouble. It's that kind of bullshit that I'm complaining about. It DOES sway the way the casual viewer judges the fight.

Don't get me wrong, two judges gave Bradley 7 rounds which is absolutely insane. But when you compare it to a judge giving 10 of 12 rounds to Ramirez against Whitaker in their first bout or a judge giving Foreman 9 of 12 rounds against Briggs, I just don't think it's as bad as those.

Bradley was in trouble at least twice. The first time was round 4 or 5. He basically held Manny for at least 30 seconds after getting rocked.

Fair enough, I just think in all honesty giving Bradley even 4 rounds is crazy.

Literally this minute I just finished watching a 60fps High Definition copy of the fight on my 51 inch plasma, and it only exacerbated my feelings from watching it on a stream last night - Bradley landed fuck all.

Bradley won round 10 clearly, but I felt generous giving him round 11, in fact according to compubox, Manny landed more even in round 11.

For those of you who gave him more than 2 rounds, I think you're simply scoring punches thrown. He landed almost nothing clean, literally, he was just mindlessly wailing away half the time, sloppy hooks flying past Manny's face.

Just for the sake of being clear, I gave Bradley the 1st, 7th, 10th and 12th.

I scored the 11th even last night but leaned toward Manny re-watching.

One of the problems for me was that many of the left hands Manny threw and supposedly landed were blocked from view because Bradley ducked or the camera angle sucked.

One of the amazing things about the scoring is that both Roth and Ford scored it 115-113 for Bradley but they varied significantly on the rounds they scored for Bradley.

I know, I had a look at the scorecards, and all 3 of them couldn't be more random, insane really. I guess they jst chose rounds at random to give Bradley, to fill the quota.

This is an opportunity for Floyd to say Pac is still undefeated, then give his reasons like he did when he talked up Cotto by calling him an undefeated fighter. Either way, I think there's even more money to be made in a Mayweather/Pacquiao fight.

This can be something like Baldamir/Judah; Judah lost the fight in a big upset, but Floyd fought him anyway as if nothing happened.

I hope the rematch bombs! Unfortunately the stupid ass Pac lovers will buy this sh*t anyway. Tim Bradly doesn't deserve another million dollar+ payday nor does Arum.
Pacquiao was unprofessional throughout and seems like he's near his way out of boxing, looking sh*tter and sh*tter in every fight. Dude's keeping the boxing world waiting because he wanted to watch an NBA game?!?!?!:lol:
Pacquiao fights are as sh*t as Fraud F*ckweather fights.

I promise you, I will not watch the rematch and encourage all to steal it. Unless it is Pac/Mayweather, I will never pay a cent for an Arum card again.

Pac did indeed try to win rounds with taking late spurts, but if neither does anything during the first two minutes, then landing a combo late is a legit way of winning the round

Yep, I keep saying Pacquiao outlanded Bradley in almost every single round. Harder punches too don't forget, crisper and harder.

Forget about 7 rounds, even 4 rounds is plain wrong.

Pac has YET to officially beat a prime African American fighter! :kidcool:

He's got to prove he can hang with the brothers before he dare take on the GREAT Floyd Mayweather: AKA the best of the best.

Y'all still think Pac deserves 50-50?
