I didn't watch TUF this time around. It was really fun for the first few years, but like most other reality series, it has faded with age.
I think it hasn't really changed. It's still very good. The live fights don't really work that well, though, at least not the way they did it. This season had no douchebag villain. I think there's always been a guy to root against, but this season only had Chris Tickle who was somewhat annoying, but not all that bad and he lost early.
It was held at the Palms like it usually is. What was different? It's not a big deal. The finale normally has a live gate between 1000-3000. This was not a good season and it stands to reason that fewer people cared to see the finale. On top of that, we have the idea of the finale being held on a Friday this year. It's typically been held on Saturday nights. This isn't really newsworthy.
And you couldn't be more wrong. The first few seasons, especially season 1, were way more focused on the reality TV aspect. These days it's pretty much just fights, they hardly show anything in the house.
This past season was an exception because it was live. I don't think the house was ignored in the 8 seasons before it.
Nope it's been a trend for a while actually, some more than others, but for about 5 seasons they haven't shown much in the house at all, it's been way more focused on just fights and training.
True. My wife used to watch with me. And she got here friends into it. They could give a fuck less about the actual fight, they loved the shit in the house. The show has gone away from the winning recipe, the reality tv bullshit. They have lost the women viewer no doubt in my mind, not that there were tons of women viewers, but the ones that were there bailed. Now its guys like us. Nerds in mma forums. And there aren't that many of us badass mutherfuckers around.:rock1:
I was going to say exactly the same thing, but forgot. My girlfriend still watches every season, but now it's more out of habit. She says it's really boring compared to before because they don't really show much of the house at all.
