    THE DESCENDANTS

    GENRE - DRAMA

PREMISE - Clooney as Matt King learns his wife just went into a coma during a boating accident. Now he must bring his oldest daughter home from rehab to join him and her younger sister as they deal with the loss of their mom and try to become a family again.

CRITIQUE - I really enjoyed this film. It had a lot of heart. The character development, acting, pacing, and dialogue were all very good. No complaints about this one. Many of the characters were well acted such as the wife's father who constantly placed the blame of her injuries onto Clonney. Also the older daughter's male friend was a source of comedic relief. Good film if you like dramas.

    SCORE - 7/10

Dialogue heavy dramas aren't for everyone. It's kind of like me trying to enjoy a movie that is CGI heavy with no story and no dialogue. It's not for everyone. People with short attention spans and go by the nickname dumby tend to enjoy a lot of the Transformer crap and what not.
