let's not forget that Frank Mir is on TRT ( wich basically makes a farce that they denied giving a liscence to Overeem for the JDS fight )

 

Not quite. Let me preface this by again saying that I feel you should not be allowed to compete as a professional athlete if you need TRT. To me it's very simple.

That being said, Mir didn't break any rules or fail any drug test. He applied for an exemption and got it. That sucks in my opinion, but he did play by the rules.

Overeem, on the other hand, fled the country to avoid a drug test prior to the Lesnar fight. And then actually failed a drug test that he tried to avoid prior to the JDS fight.

Furthermore, Overeem didn't indicate that he was receiving TRT prior to failing the test nor did he seek an exemption. Simply put, he tried to cheat and get away with it.

I hate to say it's apples to oranges, because I don't think either guy should be allowed to compete if they need testosterone, but their situations are completely different.

 

It'S a way to see it, but imo, the only difference is that Overeem team weren't professional enough to apply for TRT. If Mir and Duffee can get liscenced for it, I don't see why he couldn't either ( and please don't tell me it's because MIr and Duffee really suffer from low testosterone, just a little fact for those who don't know but if you just stop a steroid cycle abruptly, you Testosterone level will be low for a while, go see a doctor and ask him to test you testosterone level and voila, you are elligible to TRT ). From what I gathered, the Reem would have been able to justified his failed test if he was on TRT as it was his Epitestosteron to Testosteron level that was off the chart and not his actual Testosterone level.

Plus, asaik, Mir was never reandomly tested as Overeem was. Overeem, due to the supiscion following him, has been undeniably targetted by the NSAC. So comparing their drug test result is in fact, apples and orages.

Dude, get real. He was 'targetted' because he left the country to avoid his pre-fight test leading up to the Lesnar fight. Guess what? Lesnar was subjected to the same test, on the same day.

The difference is that Overeem jumped on a plane to the Netherlands.

Any suspicion was brought on by Overeem's actions. He got what he deserved.

Not only did he leave the country right as he was asked to test before the Brock fight, he hopped in his fucking car and left when they asked him to take a test before the JDS fght. They had to find him and bring him back.

Well, I'm not talking about Lesnar but Mir. It seems that the only random test the NSAC ever did was when Overeem was involved in a event. If that's the case, it's exactly as I said, he was targeted

You do understand why Overeem was subject to the random test, right? It was 100% a condition of his license to fight Lesnar following his flying to the Netherlands to avoid a normally scheduled test.

He brought it on himself.
