I believe it. He also thought Tunney, a fine boxer for the transitional 1920s admittedly, was hands down the greatest Light Heavy ever and would cleary beat the likes Charles, Moore, Johnson, Foster, Spinks, etc.

He felt that Dempsey would clearly KO Lennox Lewis

I think Chisora was mentioned as an opponent for Vitali prior to his loss against Fury. Then a robbery against Helenius and a decent showing against Vitali and he's 'good'. Sometimes the sanctioning bodies are right about a guy. That said, I don't know who Manuel Charr is.

Watching the youtube against williams and reading this post: http://boxrec.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=153096&start=0

I really doubt that this guy is a candidate for worst contender ever. His defense is above average and his left hand is way above average. Looks as good as most of the olympian boxers who don't place and that's not all that bad, usually.

No doubt about it, Ramone wasn't trolling. It was clear he genuinely believed everything he wrote.

How on EARTH he formed those opinions is a total mystery.

Wasn't he real young too? I just can't believe he's seen all those rare old fights he talks about. He was the oldest young guy ever to post here.

Amazing. A guy who fights regularly and has fought everybody around bar his brother gets picked on for getting to the age of 41 and then running out of opponents. Yet a fight between two guys who won a combined 4 rounds against the Klitschkos is applauded and well received. :dunno:

    he fought everybody ????

That new to me. I don't recall him fighting Haye, Chagaev, Valuev, Ibragimov, Chambers or Ruiz. Not to mention his utterly shameful ducking of Rahman.

If that's what pass for toughness in Ireland, i can only say that Irishman toughness is not all it's cracked up to be

Ducking Rahman ? No one in the history of the sport would ever duck Rahman.

well he postponed the fight numerous times and retired to not fight him. It's an incomprehensible decision, as he probably would have beaten him, but he clearly ducked him.

I found out Ramonza's real name. Mike Boyer. Apparently, him and Fred were best frinds.

I'm not much of a fan of either Klitschko, but I find it hard to believe that Vitali was scared of Rahman.

And to be fair, when there is a split title, it's unlikely that each title holder will face all of the best available competition as the contenders are usually split up among the different title holders.

The forum forbids me from telling you but there about about 8 people in the top 20 I'd have been happy with, including Arreola, Chisora & Solis

Well Chisora is banned/out of bounds, Solis is more than likely not interested, anyone know what Arreola is at?

I'm not remotely interested in seeing Vitali in any of those rematches. What is the purpose? I guess maybe there may be some intrigue (word used loosely) in seeing if Solis can get out of the first round.

How much do you reckon that increases his chances against Vitali?? Has he fought anyone with a pulse in the last two years?

Is it now a competitive fight?

I'm sorry, but "sucking less" doesn't exactly make me excited about this rematch.

A 235lb Arreola vs today's Vitali would certainly be a good fight. Competitive's another matter. I also think Chisora would have done better a 2nd time, the first fight would have given him confidence. Solis is a pure question mark. Which is better than knowing somebody's awful ala Charr.

Plus, I have heard of this new & dedicated 235 lb Arreola, but he only weighed that for a couple of fights and his weight has gone up from there for his last two fights with 245 being the most recent. We may be seeing a pattern here.

I wonder if we will see Arreola under 240 again, or will he end up back in the 250s?

Joe took a couple of softies too in Ron Stander and Terry Daniels.

Ronnie actually nailed Joe a few times before he was hacked to ribbons.

Arreola won maybe one round in their first fight. I never said he was good. I never said Vitali should rematch him. I asked who should he fight. I was never hot on Arreola getting another payday.

I'd like to see the Solis rematch. It was a bit of a freak win, and yes it was a good legit shot that put him over but he would have been ok were it not for the knee injury. The round was competitive up to that point. Not saying Solis would have won but I don't think you can write it off as "Klitschko KO 1" like he just blew the guy away.

No, but it did hurt him, because getting clocked on the top of the noggin by a 240lb guy has been known to to that.

The problem with the division is not the brothers. Its the fact that the other fighters don't take their business seriously. Get a shot at a Klitschko, collect your payday, then fuck off into semi-retirement.

Arreola vs Wlad is a better fight than Arreola vs Vitali. He stands little chance against Wlad, but no chance against Vitali.
