It would be funny to see Toney beat Adamek but I think Adamek will outwork him. Adamek is a good guy and all but he is not a heavyweight. And Roger Bloodworth is a horrible trainer and it seems to only make Adamek fight worse and worse. Adamek should do whatever he can to fight Povetkin and maybe somehow some way he can beat him and then retire because that's the only title he's winning at heavyweight, unless of course Vitaly does retire and he fights for the vacant WBC belt.

easy fight for Adamek at this stage...don't see the point of it at all

i guess i could see him being an idiot as usual and brawling with Toney for 12 rounds, then who knows..toney could win a couple rounds

Toney is a washed-up fat man. The fight is a pointless one.

Boxing really needs to be regulated better, Toney is gonna end up with a brain full of mushy peas. He should have been 'retired' 4, 5 years ago.

taking Toney-Jirov into account, i wonder if even that version of Toney would beat Adamek

Adamek can match Jirov in work rate, chin, toughness...but wouldn't be as sloppy and inacurate

Oh I think that version of Toney stops Adamek quite easily. And as far as this fight being pointless. To us for sure. To Adamek's people not at all. Toney is old but he still has a name and Adamek has a fanatical fan base who don't care at all. He will sell out the Prudencial Centre again (While making everyone including himself more money) and will stay sharp fighting an old over the hill opponent.

Toney from the Jirov fight beats the shit out of Adamek. The Jirov fight was 8 years ago, though. Toney's gonna get worked.

This will be a tactical fight from Adamek again. His style bores me so much. He will just run around the plodding Toney and slap him with those pillows he calls fists and win a UD and talk about being champion zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Adamek by decision and Toney claims he won the fight.

We're getting on 20 years since Toney started slipping as a fighter.

Apparently, no one in the history of the world, except Evander Holyfield, could beat Toney at cruiser.

Adamek would use his height advantage better than Jirov did. I think it's a pretty even fight. Toney was beaten by lesser fighters than Adamek.

Toney sounds real bad as well, not only looks bad.

He is already punchy, and will only get worse as time goes on.

He would also not have Jirov's power---particularly to the body.

I really don't see a point to this fight. Even if it's just a "keep busy" fight, there has to be someone more relevant than Toney available.

It's not like Adamek covered himself in glory having to work his ass off to beat a one-armed opponent in his last fight. And if he struggles even a little against old, fat & washed-up Toney...he looks even worse.

No one cares about what we wanna see. It's a business. This fight will still bring the Polish fans to the Prudential Centre. Tyson could sell out MSG jerking off I bet Adamek could do the same at the Prudential Centre. It sucks for us but don't get it twisted homey everybody else will make money from this and add more zeros to their bank accounts.

This is why boxing sucks a little more each day. You don't think I understand all of the recording padding & money grubbing that passes for a sport these days?

BWJ's point was form a sporting standpoint... the fight is a joke

the fact that it is good business doesn't mean (or at least shouldn't) anything to a boxing fan

Some guys seem to be fans of the business side of boxing. Personally I don't give a shit about the business side of things. I just like to see good fights.
