Is this shit going to flop? I haven't seen much advertisement for it...and the Dark Knight Rises is coming out in 2 weeks.....
It will not flop. In fact it set a record on Tuesday with $35 million and on Wednesday added another $23 million, so it has grossed $58 million in two non-weekend days. This movie is a hit,
I'm on the fence on this one. I am not thrilled at all to watch it. Only mildly curious, unlike TDKR which I have zero interest in watching.
I agree 100% with your statement, but still have no interest in watching the next Batman film. The last Batman film I went to the movies to watch was "Batman Forever" in 1995. I'll wait for the dvd rental on this one.
I didnt say it would. well i did say it will be better than the Avengers. I have no doubt about that.
I've never seen any of the X-men in its entirety besides First class but first class was a really awesome movie.
Yeah, I liked it I'm just not sure how much. I need to rewatch it again. The other 3 X-Men films though did not age well IMO. I don't think I can sit through any of them all the way through anymore. Each one has certain points I like but also certain points I really hate.
'The Avengers' pretty much has killed off anything DC can come up with in the future. I watched the latest trailer for 'The Dark Knight Rises' and it still doesn't look good or interesting to me. Not Batman, definately not Tom Hardy wearing a duffel-coat and sporting a ridiculous accent and certainly not whatever twat is playing Catwoman. It looks more appealing to fans of Emo Music, really. In fact, I'm more intrigued for 'The Amazing Spiderman' which a) Im going to watch tonight and b) was too bothered about to be honest. :dunno:
Untrue. I'm going to go and watch it because the missus wants to. I will judge it objectively like I did 'The Dark Night' - a movie which I don't even remember anything remotely interesting about Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne / Batman character because of what Heath Ledger and Aaron Eckhart were doing. Fuck, I don't even remember what happened in the end. :dunno:
That will actually depend on the type of audience. Batman is more of a comic drama feature that tells an awesome story with great dialogue. Avengers will be liked more by children and people with short attention spans. So rest assured Dark Magus will like Avengers better as he falls under both categories. ::
Not true. I prefer Marvel Comic movies because they never take themselves very seriously. The scripts are always done with a slight self-effecing and give knowing nods here and there. I watch it, enjoy it and go home. Like last night for instance, do you really think I burst ourt of the cinema going "Wowwwwwwwwwwww!!! Spider-man, Spider-man, does whatever a spider can!" and pretend to fire webs at my girlfriend? :dunno: (okay, I did do that...but I waited until we got home) Anyway, Nolan's Batman movies are usually seen by his fans as precious 'works-of-art' and usually attract people who, after watching the movie, go home and try to dissect it with views to its 'deeper meaning' while lsitening to My Chemical Romance, when in fact it's about a guy dressing in rubber and tights, desperately hiding a deep-hidden secret-yearning for younger men in tights. opcorn:
