I said that things would not be "better" in boxing if the Klitschkos were gone. You said that wasn't true.

I then asked you to show me how things got better in boxing with the brothers leaving. You replied by saying you didn't like the brothers.

Your personal likes and dislikes are all very well and good but they don't address the core issue of the discussion.

Arguing with you would be circular if it weren't so square.

I don't feel like arguing. We're just having a laugh, ripping on wald pussy here for fun. It's no big deal.

That I can appreciate. But every time a Klitschko fight comes around, the same begrudging, embittered, curmudgeonly sentiments start to spring up like grass after a heavy rain. It's like a debater that nobody likes when he makes good points. People clap out of convention rather than because they want to.

Do you see even the general basis of the point I am making. People like Haye and Chisora being invited to tender their opinions on the state of a division they are very much 3rd and 4th best in?

Wlad fighting Peter in 2005 was the antithesis of "pussy". It was very much, as they say in Dearbornistan, a "bold move". These guys are interested in making fights, and have done the division, and boxing in general, some good service.

Dearborn is Arab, not Central/South Asian. Wasn't aware people are known for saying "a bold move" there, either.. ?

When you have atomic weapons, have used same before, and don't give a rats ass about other peoples countries, this causes the other countries to show strong interest in your culture, or lack thereof.

i think it speaks to how boring your existence is at home that you take the time to learn the slogans of automobile companies and other trivial shit here.

I think it speaks to how effective the Ford Motor Company's advertising program is that I didn't actually have to learn their slogan, I just remembered it. However, Ford are not the same company they used to be, just another trivial fact from the past few years that us "outsiders" have picked up on.

America is one of Irish's favorite topics, especially considering he's never been here. It's kind of like watching a kid talk about a magical land he's only seen in fairy tales. Quoting movies, and all that. He kind of reminds me of an Indian FOB (fob=fresh off the boat)

The Irish have a special relationship with America. You may have noticed this. Next time some cop called Costigan is womb-brooming you with his nightstick, think about that.

I'm quite looking forward to this one. Wlad is heavier, Thompson is lighter & has two good knees....

20-1 on Thompson by KO looks good

Chances seem better than 20-1. I'm taking the claims he went into the last fight with a knee injury at face value, which might be a stretch, but he gave a pretty good account of himself, regardless. He seems like the thoughtful type in there, too, the type who might bring something new to a rematch.

He's heavier in that he's 2lbs heavier than when he faced Sam Peter in the re. He's still under 250. As for Thompsons knees, I'm not sure he had a bad knee the first time. 20-1 is way too high for any heavyweight fight, especially one involving a guy with 3 stoppage losses. The weight suggests more clinching than punching, Wlad figures to deal with the Octopus style by basically wearing him down. We'll see.

He was competitive the first time and caught Klitschko with some good lefts, cut him too, and was cut in return. It wasn't a bad fight. Thompson went down late in the fight and thats probably where his knee got hurt. He basically quit soon after that.

His claim was that he took a minor knee injury into the fight and it flared into something more debilitating when Wlad fell on top of him during a clinch. I think that was fairly late in the fight.

Pinch of salt obviously but adds a bit of intrigue to the rematch. I like Thompson he's skilled

Sorry, he injured his knee in the second. Injury looked legit, he was hobbling immediately but made no play of it.

Personally, if I was Wlad, i would have vacated rather than take on a 6'6" Southpaw who basically stinks and sets traps and for whom beating involves little reward and losing to involves major derision. He's already done it once in a fairly entertaining scrap for which he got little credit. Its beyond me really.

I said both brothers should have retired after Wlad beat Haye and I stand by that. There is nothing left to be gained, apart from money.

A shame wald pussy wasn't fighting someone good, he'd have surely lost.

Was the fight good fare at least?
